Title: Corsix Mod Studio issues
Post by: neosdark on February 29, 2012, 05:07:09 AM
Hey guys, Neos here, I've decided to help out my good friend Lord Wiffleby with the development and basic modding of the 1949 mod, but I have hit a slight snag with using the Corsix Studio itself.

Every time I attempt to start Corsix I receive an error of which I am including a .JPG

I would be ever so thankful to any of the kind gentlemen here who can help me resolve my problems.

P.S. As a side note, the specifications for my rig if required:

1)Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
2)Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9550 @2.83 GHz (4 CPUs)
3) Video Chip: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
4) 3326MB of RAM

Go to "My_Mod" folder, then check if "Engine" exists as child if not create it, then create a new folder and name it "Archives". If "Engine" does exist but not "Archvies" then just create the latter.

You will need to do this a couple of times, because it will look for two different paths(one more after you fix the one, unless you are lucky :P) so watch out the paths each time the error message is shown.

A child, Bishop? I'm not to good with the technical terms just yet, what is a child and how do I create it? Is it just like one of those folders that are already present in the My_Mod file, or is it something else?

EDIT: Which exact "Engine" would you be referring to? I have way to many Engine files because of Autodesk Inventor CAD XD

"...\Company of Heroes\My_Mod\Engine\Archives" should exist as path, otherwise create the missing folders.

Okay guys, back again with more annoyances and questions. I have hit a slight snag with the fact that when I do start a mod, I do not get access to the root files. It won't let me use anyone of the buttons, nor any of the functions other than Extraction tool, which does absolutely nothing when I press go. Any ideas that may help me?

Have you created a new mod or just tried to open RelicCoH.module file?

I have clicked on Create New mod, chosen CoH and given it a name

Try creating these folders inside your "mod_folder":

Inside the DataAttrib folder create a folder named "attrib".

Back again fellas, and as usual with more questions than answers. I really want to start skinning models for myself (I have a ton of skins to make both for 1949 and my own recreation ;D ;D ), but when I attempted to open the skin files and convert them to DDS files I hit a small snag, the files which I need do not seem to be there. I need RGT files, but I can only find other types of files, not RGTs. Pic included as usual.

Open the RGM and look at the paths described there.
