Title: How abot more factions?

Well, first of all, this is the best mod of all.

I'm excited about the Ostheer, but this mod makes so great expectations
I'd like some more.

I would like to play with more factions, more units and in more places.

I know this is not difficult, but laborious to do.

armies can be any of them, but the point here is to have more.

I know that many users would like the same, and may not be able
making the code work, or modeling, but we can give, in my case, all that is needed to move forward with this project.

I am very excited about his work, congratulations and I thank you in advance.

Simply put: There won't be any new armies AFAIK. EF is into just that: The Eastern Front.

actually, Japan was an eastern front. and we can pick up another army from Europe, what do you think?

I don't know what to say about it... just that we need to focus on Ostheer first, the new Soviet stuff and the campaigns. We will see what is the next project after that ;)... supposing that CoH is still alive XD(we are talking of years IMO, maybe CoH2 will be released before this :)).

It wall be allways playable, on Hamachi, as example, I understand that there are things todo before, but please, think about it, thank you

Remember we still get lesser axis powers in the Foreign Battlgroup ability in Ostheer Army Troops-Army Support Troops.

I've often pondered the idea of starting a mod that includes all the fronts and covers the whole timeline. I'm working on the tech trees right now, the only problem is that I have absolutely no modding experience. :P

The Concept of a Europe 1939-1945 Mod has occurred to me as well. In fact it is of some interest. I too have developed some Tech Trees that are feasible for a project of this scope. I have also considered how the large technology changes could be incorporated into the Scheme. If you are interested in pursuing the matter please PM me.

I dont know much about modeling or coding, but i can investigate and translate to the spanish, I m available for any of these things, lets try this happen guys

Sorry, but to put it short, no.

Creates too much work for all departments. Ostheer is the top priority, then a bit of a finishing touch to the Soviets, then the Campaigns.

Eastern Front is not going to last 1000 years you know ;).

It is very difficult to gather a team to do what we are doing, we have all this time developing soviets and ostheer and it is not near to be finished. Modern Combat needed four years to finish their mod more or less.

Supposing you want to do it by yourself:

The chances you can assemble a team with good 2D/3D artists and animators are very slim. Also, you need to consider the time you will need to finish your stuff, I don't think one year would be enough, and we don't know how much time left it is for CoH. And the last and more important reason, cluttering CoH with as many factions as you can or many units as you can is doomed to fail. CoH engine was not designed for the way we are using it, hence new factions are full of hardcoded bugs and if you add a gazillion of units you cannot expect your MP matches last too long without crashing.

Atm several players have crashes with EF and soviets, we expect this rises when OH and campaigns are released, due to the amount of units. We will try to optimize the units we make as much as we can, but this certainly is a burden for players who just want to play the mod and for those who want like ten factions in CoH.

Yeah most mods have 2 or 4 factions. Ths one (will) have 6 AND a campaign  :o :o :o. Hats off to ya :D

^ i dont think the ammount of units is what is cauong the crashes. I asked about the limits of the essence engine on relic news once, and there isnt a limit to the ammount of models you can have ingame

It has to do(IMO) because the more units you have, the more memory you need to use. Since CoH is not optimized for 64 bits, the crashes might occur because it fails to allocate more memory.

Bishop all that you say about gathering human Resources is true. I Would hope the EF Community would allow EF the courtesy of first dibs at the animators as well.

Edit: Ask JoJoRabbit to look into the Crash issues. He has a Hawkeye for flaky code.
