I just noticed that Stealth can't participate in this attack because he is stationed in 38.

Edit: Actually nevermind, there is no other region he can attack so is allowed to move through 1 friendly territory.

We have a Soviet Victory for round 1 of the battle for Kiev, however, Axis player stealthattack had to leave before the third match could be finished(The second match was called off and did not count because of game crashes). How will this be resolved? Will we reschedule the match, call it a draw, or call it a victory for the soviets(Since the match that was counted was a soviet victory)?  :-\

Post by: Cranialwizard on June 03, 2012, 03:30:56 AM
If acceptable to both parties I can take this win as the Soviet victory. If the game was too close to call and the axis think that they definitely can win then I would suggest to keep trying to play Kiev.

Just got off work, sorry if I was late.

EDIT: If Stealth is not present, and the Axis can't find a replacement in the next 2 and 1/2 hours to play, then I think this will count as Soviet Victory. (Even if it is a draw, the Axis can not gain territory.)

In fact, Axis team didn't admit defeat. We still have time before the week end. steathattack have his work to do. Mainly problem is the allies player drop in every battle. They said the game crash, but our Axis player never crash before. I don't know if this can assume technical error or not but in fact, we can't continuously restart the match since not everybody have time to do that.
First battle we can admit the allies victory, but we still have 2 more match and won't admit defeat So, till the end of this week, we will still make battle. I will schedule battle time ASAP.
Note: We won't accept any technical error like dropping or anything else. Since we can't verify if it really or not, so the Allies player make config in their computer to make sure they won't drop.

No territory will be ceded to the Axis unless there are 2 more 3v3s (On any map at this point, preferably Kiev) and the Axis win both of those matches.

We can either call it a Draw or Soviet Victory in this case, but it doesn't matter.

Really ? I entered this tourny to have fun not "drop" my way to victory. I wanted to play all the way through but a relic crash is a relic crash they happen and tbh they happen quite often on some of these user created maps. While I take offense to your allegations, I do however understand the position your in, being competitive in nature I would question anything that the otherside say's "oh sorry I crashed" or whatever. We do not know what exactly is causing the crashes either, so fixing the issue on our end is improbable at best.

So lets just remember Rule #1 and be cool like the Fonz. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

On a side note we were lucky we could even connect everyone together with the NAT errors some players were getting and other connection issues.

In Klienburger's defense EF does have a tendency to drop ALOT. Like during half way through a game I crash and them my opponent thinks I'm being a sore loser by dropping.

Since we can't verify if it really or not, so the Allies player make config in their computer to make sure they won't drop.

You can't fix the crash errors. I've also noticed that the more user made content used, the more likely to crash. (Example: Soviet player on an EF map is more likely to crash than an American player on a vanilla map.) That's just how the game works, it's not just EF either, I've played numerous other mods where the game crashes a lot. I understand what you're saying and I can understand why you feel that way, but accusing us of dropping purposely is, imo, not the way to express you're frustration with the technical difficulties we've been having (Including the lobby problem). Now, instead of arguing, I think we should work together and find out how to fix these problems.

Well. I don't mean to blame you, the game have its problem as well, I admit that. But in fact, noone want to lose because technical error, right? So I hope we can solve by re schedule the match at same time today.

I agree that we should reschedule, b/c, yes that would be dumb if it was a Soviet victory due to game errors. Hopefully, we can reschedule it for today or tomorrow, before attack orders are given.

This game must be played and I must have 2 more replays within the next 7 hours or territory will not be ceded to the Axis team. Period.

The game can not be held Monday because that is when Round 4 starts.

well, i would like cranial to  note my protest, as though the first game was a soviet win, the second was an allied victory. i would also have noted that it was always the allied players that dropped/crashed, and while they may not be able to fix this, if its counted as win, players could theoretically, structure a crash in order to effectively defend a territory. i do not mean to implicate the allied team, and i definitely dont believe they crashed on purpose, but the facts still stand.

If I do not have sufficient replays for games in less than 3 hours, I will call this match a forfeit.

Stealth, I understand your concerns, but I can not award territory for a game that has ultimately not been played because of timezones and technical issues. I can only declare victory for the axis if the allies fail to get their shit together, don't make a team to defend, or just don't show.

This is the most reasonable I feel I can be.
Title: Re: [3] stealthattack1, Sommarkatze, TanokywalkerEF Attacks #48 (Draw)
Post by: Cranialwizard on June 04, 2012, 01:49:10 PM
This match has been declared a Draw due to technical issues and inability to call a common time upon realizing there were technical issues.

A rule will be added soon to help curb this.

Thanks,

Cranial
