Need to check in with my commander, but if I am placed here, I will be able to face you. Do you live on the US east coast btw?

Nope, I live in Sweden. But we should be able to play on the weekend / today, since these are my days off.

I prefer the weekend, Saturday or Friday, can't play today. Also, are you playing as Brit or US? And who will be hosting the game?

I'm playing as American. We'll see who hosts, since I've been experiencing problems whilst connecting to americans (Means you'll most likely have to plug your modem into your computer to be able to play with me)

I'll be fine, my connection is very good. Also, this is the game's name for the battle;
EF Tourney Battle for Sector One(1)
My playertag is Panzer4life2, and I will be PE. Lets have a fair fight this weekend, and who is best shall decide the battle.  8)

Do not forget guys this is a special stacked battle, the axis must win 3 of 3 battles to declare victory whilst the allies only need 1 victory.

Well, it makes sense. I mean, you don't need to break through a whole coastline in order to establish a beach head, but I see what you mean. Also take into account that the beaches have to be hard to defend, because the Axis basically win if the assault is repelled. :P

Ah, really mates? I must win 3, whilst the allies only need 1 victory. Darn, I must be a iron wall that doesn't have a bad case of rusgting bolts.  :P

I see the reasoning behind it but I personally believe it should be executed in a somewhat better fashioning.

I think that should have been discussed before starting the D-Day invasion, not right now it is ocurring. Probably if the new proposed way fits better than the current will be used in the next event :).

The match is stacked because the extremely high stakes. The Axis could win if they repel a simple two attacks so why should it be easy?

while were discussing it, i as an axis player actually agree with the thinking behind it. for example, how could we call this ww2 if the axis just repelled all d-day attacks and americans or british just sat on their butts while the soviets got whupped? all cranial is doing is giving the allies a better chance to join the festivities.

Pretty much that's the reasoning behind it.

Plus, if the Axis repel D-Day, they win the game, which means it has to be difficult to defend against D-Day.

This is why there are stacked territories surrounding Capitals. Capitals themselves are played Best of 5, but the road to victory shouldn't just be a steamroll. To enter a capital city you need to win 3/3 of the games in the surrounding territories.

This part of the rule actually makes it harder for the Allies slightly more than the Axis, because the Axis have more territories surrounding their Capitals as opposed to the Allies.

also makes the tourney longer, meaning more battles, more fun, and more players.

I haven't heard about any other American Reward Units except the M18 Hellcat which came from ToV, and another one which also came from ToV. :S

There the 105mm Sherman in EF, as well as the Jumbo Sherman. 105 replaces the flame Sherman, while Jumbo replaces Calliope. Does anyone know what the new US reward unit will be btw?
