Title: Guide me if possible?
Post by: Tehcumseh on October 05, 2012, 12:15:55 AM
Alright i've been watching all these Sublime Shoutcasts which are Superb to say the least Yauz and Godlikedennis make a great team for commentating. It looks like a lot of fun playing online but i don't have the skill and i will just get crushed and it will turn into something that't not fun. So i was wondering if there was a way i could reproduce this but in skirmish. I want a CPU opponent that i can versus but it wont be to hard(i'm not too good) So i'm not sure what difficulty i should play on. I tried "Easy" and it was not at all fun. I just dominated with Normal Tommy's. So my question is what should i do? Please Help!

If you were able to beat the Easy CPU  the next logical step would be Normal CPU :P

Honestly if you can beat Normal CPU you can beat like 1/5 of the noobs on COH.

And Im always willing to play a game :P. We could practice. However I haven't played in a while so Im very rusty :(

Best bet to start off is to do some controlled matches vs a strong player who will go easy on you and critique your glaring faults. Then you just practice by finding similarly skilled enemies and practicing until you are good. You can submit your replays and some of us will check them out and give you advice if you want as well. General advice isn't very useful. It's better to have advice specific for you and for that we need replays or to actually play against you.

Perhaps you should do it GLD. I would do it but I realized (about an hour or so ago) my mouse was broken so I couldn't play vs him XD :P.

I have no time these days. Balancing takes up a huge amount of time, as does GW2. We even have plans to cast at some point soon. I can't even play with people I would normally play casual games with like Dann or Dreamer.

You can add me though Grach. I'll see if I ever have time and we can have a practice game.

Okay, if GLD is busy maybe I can replace him, fight and write some advices for you. And if your morale is too low, I will team up with you to stomp some noobs/computers too.
Mine in CoH is Dann88. ;D

As someone else who has yet to play an actual online game of EF with (or against) anybody (2vs2 all people is my favorite type, and my area of expertise)... I've played a LOT of the un-modded game against live opponents, both at LANs with friends and online too (I'm rank 5 with Wher ^^; ). The only thing that seems to be stopping me from getting a chance to play EF online is the fact that I'm in Australia, and as a result can't even connect to some other counties (high ping is often an issue, but I had one case recently where I had an error box come saying something about being unable to the host due to some crazy 'international connection' thing...).

I'd rather not have to try to bully my mates into getting EF...
