Ураааааааааааааааа  ;D

This is my best morning from months  8)
Love you :-*

If you wish, you can upload from twitch to yuotube this videos, but it will be better maybe if someone can do a showcast  :P

Is T70 have a new ability ? I saw that it slowed the Ostheer Luchs (t3 tank)  ::)  - Oh maybe that was the Strelky  :P

Yes, it was the Strelky. MY Strelky :P
However, from my knowledge we'll stick with broadcasting for a while until the coding has been mostly finished and some balance tweaks have been done. Currently some abilities are not yet available or do not work, and some units are bugged. Nothing too serious, but still this has to be fixed first. That's why the stage is not satisfying enough to shoutcast (we don't want another 1.00 shoutcast showing IS-2 beating up King Tigers and stuff like that). That's bad reputation, and that's why we don't want them just yet.

However, stay tuned for the first official shoutcasts, they can't be too far away  8)
And I can assure you that it's incredible fun to play the Ostheer vs. Soviets matchup, it just feels... right. Action all over the place, and conscripts and Landsers dying everywhere :D

Well, there's no 1 person try to force through a premature release this time, so that won't happen ;)

Really enjoyed it, I haven't tried OH in a few months since the SVN refuses to update the devbox and I haven't bothered to fix it, so it was nice to see the StuGIII and stuff finally being used in game. Also, Riggs has an awesome sound mod, we should steal it and make it a regular addition :P

Т4 was strange to me.
I was expecting to see Panzer 3 for main tank not Stug 3 and I wanst expecting to see PIVs  ;D

IN general it was super fun to watch and it was a real eastern front battle  - T34s against Panzers and Stugs everywhere on the map.

Yes, StuG III is the main battle tank for Ostheer, it has very good AI power, supression and also can deal with tanks once you get the armoured modernization (it gets a special AP round ability). The Panzer III is one of the units which are not finished at the moment, and that's why it has not been played. Its upgrades are not working yet (it will get a flammenwerfer upgrade, which will make it super useful to flank AT guns and killing units in cover/buildings), and then we will probably see it more often.

About the Pz IV: As you maybe know, each doctrine gets a unique heavy AT tank, and the Pz IV is the AT solution for Army Fortress. Army Elite gets the Tiger I and Support gets the Panther. The Pz IV synergizes very well with the Elefant to flank the heavier soviet tanks while the Elefant dishes out in the frontal slugfest :)

A question, I saw int he soviet breakthrough tree in the 2nd game that the 2 unlock on the left side were KVs. Is this correct, and does this mean the KVs are being removed as reward units?

Yes and No  ;D
They are reward units to SU-85 as far as I know - 1.7 feature :)
Also Mechanics lower the cost of the tanks (fuel) for 50 muni per tank  - you can see it in the same game :)

yes and yes (at least as reward for t34 :D).

In 1.600 breakthrough was broken because you got a tank hunter (SU85) and a heavy assault gun (ISU)/broken OP IS 3 on the RHS, which made this doctrine way more powerful than urban or prop. Also, BT LHS was very unappealing because Tank Rider T34 was pretty useless, and the whole doctrine had too many call ins (mech, SU, ISU, Tankriders).

The doctrine has been rearragend to:
LHS - inspired speech - call in KV 1(or SU 85 reward unit) - IL 2 Sturmovik
RHS - mechanics - Tank riders (now a passive ability for all heavy tanks) - ISU 152 (buffed)/IS 3 (nerfed)

We're currently testing the doctrine layout, but it's much more enjoyable and the KV tanks fit the "breakthrough" theme a lot better than the SU 85. Also the split of KV and ISU makes the LHS more appealing to be played.
Also, KV tanks to not replace the T34 anymore. Replacing the fast, mobile and strong medium t34 with the clumsy,h heavy breakthrough KV 1/85 wasn't fitting at all anyways, because t34 are the soviet main battle tank and thus should be played instead of KV tanks anyways. KV tanks were only useful because they're OP in the current version. But like I said, you can still use the SU 85 as reward unit for the KV1 if you need a Tankhunter.

You play the LHS BT doctrine in a heavy tier2 strategy, because you get a heavy tank already as call inn. RHS BT is played by skipping tier2 and going for fast tanks. Both trees have as common strategy a breakthrough theme. It plays very nice and KV1 is my favourite tank so far. If you want a counter for heavy german tanks you can still play SU85, however this is not a BT tank.

I don't understand why people in-game we calling the Ostheer overpowered, I felt in a way they were under-powered, just looking at their infantry getting massacred by Soviet infantry and tank fire. But oh well, maybe I'll have to see for myself when the beta becomes available.

I really like this - support/assault thing.
Every game is differet even if you use the same tier build.

I have one strange, but interesting for me question.
What if I build 2 same buildings ... can I use 1st one for assault units and 2nd one for support units  ;D

you should keep in mind that the ostheer you saw in the broadcast is still the alpha
the most important things which are missing are inf and vehicle vet
and then the main balance (currently we are far away for what is called balanced)
but after we havent showed anything from ostheer for ages we decided to show you the current version :D

no the pools in each tier are global
that means if you build eg t3 two times you will have also 2x the same pool

but you can always switch the pools (which is already cheaper then building the tier 2 times^^)

Alright, makes sense. And I suppose the Ostheer doctrines are going to get more of a description than what we saw in the game? Also, when will the next soviet patch come out?

haha yes the doctrinal units you saw in both games were more or less without any words on them :P
but there were 3 different doctrinal units in the games
