Title: MoW: Assault Squad questions
Post by: Tehcumseh on October 14, 2012, 12:56:01 AM
Alright i'm contemplating buying this game. So i found out that they have there 'skirmish' mode and how you move up an capture points while it is getting harder and harder but what i want to know is if the enemy pushes back? or if they just wait for you to move up each time. Like so i could just do huge waves of russians they all die and then be able to build a force up again without them taking the points back. Or if i could just wait until i have a big force and attack at once without being attacked. But anyways thanks for any help you can give

Yeah, the enemy pushes back. The AI calls in reinforcements to fight you every few minutes, so say you're fighting against Germans, first they usually call on a few squads of men and a bike, but as you capture points it moves up to a few squads and a Puma, then some StuGs, then some PzIVs, then Panthers, etc. The harder you have the difficulty, the more frequent the call-ins, and the harder the call-ins get... hardest difficulty I think the Germans call in KT's towards the end.

It's kinda shallow though, I prefered the SP in MoW1, and it's classicly bad voice acting.

Watch this if you want, German mission on Caen Outskirts. Guys playing on normal difficulty so I doubt they'll be any uber American tanks, but the mission can be fun once you get a Veteran Tiger.

Not the realism! The farer you push the enemy back the better units and the more reinforcements he'll get.
