Well, without breaking a sweat, I'm back!
Now, this map is still in the planning stage and until that's done, it's not really worth showing anything!
However, considering that this is the famous Kummersdorf, I feel that there should be plenty of wrecked vehicles (including the fabled Maus, buried within the facility). On this note however, there are far too few wrecked vehicles available on worldbuilder that are "map objects", in that they cannot be resurrected by the Bergetiger. So I ask you this: is there any way to turn more of the wrecks into map objects?
This place is calling out for flattened Stugs and Jagdpanthers!
-
Germans tested there captured allied tanks. Maybe you can add there some shermans, soviet and british tanks belonging to world, but intact?

I'm working from that exact same picture.
I'm happy to put neutral vehicles in, so long as nobody would have any gameplay qualms with it. Neutral vehicles aren't capturable, are they?
-
Yes they can't get captured. However if you destroy them as Wehr you can get a lot of Ammo from them.
-
Perfect! Anyways, while I have your attention, I'll post a very early screen.

As you can see, there is a hell of a lot of work to be done!!
-
Found a aerial photograph of Kummersdorf Proving grounds dated 1945. May give you some inspiration:

Looking good so far as always :)
-
Where did you find this?! It's perfect!
-
It'd be cool to see some wrecked Cromwells, KV1s, T34s, and Shermans thrown aside like paintcans to the might Tigers ;)

Cheers :)
the picture is called: "German Army Test Station for Tanks & Motor Vehicles"
V2 testrange is not in this picture i guess. Anyways here is da links:

There is a pic in the link which shows the ramps where the tanks were tested climbing hills. Maybe also a nice addition.

I was thinking the exact same thing! I have space laid out for firing ranges and the like, but considering the size of the map, most of this might have to be out of bounds. Still, I'll fit what I can!

And after a long day's work, we are now at 80% complete, at least!
Before:

After:

Still, there's a good way to go, but I should have the time tomorrow to at least get to 95%!
Let me know if you see anything you'd like changing, or would just simply like!

Man you are such a gifted mapper. All these maps look GREAT!!! I can't wait to play them! And it seems like you're just pumping the maps out. All these will come out in the next patch and/or when othseer comes out? because they all look so fun.
-
Seems like we won't have an Ostheer map pack, but a MonolithicBacon map pack ;D
-
Awesome i can't wait to play them all!!! When i beta tested Prague it was such a fun map
-
I really need to pick up my game, and get my map finished! But I couldn't turn out maps this fast if I wanted to! :(

I'm blushing!
But seriously, I could map like this until the day this mod finally dies! With the exception of work and teaching, my holidays will pretty much consist of me regurgitating any map ideas I get into reality!
-
I'm telling you man you have to make a good D-day map. I will love you long time i you do
-
Once I need a break and a change, I'll revamp my Sword Beach Map. That should do you!
-
Shaping up to be a really nice map, awesome work!
-
And here we are, after three days (or about 30 collective hours), at Kummersdorf!
I have to say, this has been a strange one. Nowhere near as urban for my liking, but unique to me. It's like a miniature "Steel Pact".
So without any further delay:-
The new Minimap:

Let me know what you think!
In the mean time I shall be adding plenty of spotlights and turning this beast into a nighttime map!
Until tomorrow!

This map is badass. You're so talented!!!! I wish i could contribute to EF like you. But anyway keep up the good work!!!!
-
Looks awesome, but maybe lower the amount of wrecks to deny Wehr players valuable munitions. Keep the majority out of bounds or near areas will there will be enough fighting to ensure Pio's have a hard time salvaging. ;)

I completely forgot about that! I might test out blocking some of the wrecks like the planes on Hebecrevon, or simply lowering the health of the wrecks so that they collapse almost instantly. If that fails, I'll swap most of the wrecks with either neutral, alive versions, or simply move them oob.
-
Looks amazing! :D
However Make sure not to use too many neutral vehicles! They still create UI icons in the minimap which can be irritating.
-
I think there's only two of them, but it still needs testing!
