Hey. I from Ukraine. Tooday i see in the store dics with 3 COH games on it + your mod Eastern Front. I wondering, do you give licens to selling your mod? Because i`m about to call the police.  COH games are cracked, of course.

We don't sell Eastern Front because it is free, just as you don't see us charging per downloads ;D... but AFAIK that is a common thing on many countries :). Although it is bad.

Taking a picture might be a good way to gather specific evidence for your police.

And posting here to make us laugh at the people whom were arrested.

I don't think police gonna give a fuck especially in Post-USSR countries. A couple of hundred ruble bucks will push them away. They don't even wanna come to car accidents cause it's waste of time for them. They like to stop cars mostly or stop foreign-face people just to get their cut ( rubles ).

>because it is free
I know. I just need to be sure, when i explain it to police.

> just cant believe this
Lol, are you kidding? In our country cracked games selling in every corner

>to gather specific evidence for your police
Police will arrive to the store and see disks by themselves

>were arrested.
Well. In our country they break only administrative law. They will pay fine and lose all pirate discs.

Usually it's true. But i already shut down few shops like this. You just need to be importune.

For example. Some idiots was selling World of Tanks (it's free online MMO). I called police, and they opened case.  Here some fotos if you int-ing.

In Soviet Russia, you arrest police for corruption.

The police in Russia are trained to fight Vampires and bears anyway. They don't have the necessary training to arrest people.

it says "Eastern Front", but the front and back pics don´t show any soviet tanks. Suspicious?

Is there a stamp on the back so you can´t steal it?

Did anybody else notice the "requires 1.5 free hard drive space" on the back?

If all four "expansions" and the original game only took up that amount of memory, it'd be a miracle!

This is called the control holographic mark. It is issued to the distributor by government agency. It indicates that the disc is a licensed product. Most interesting is that the seller can stick this mark to any box, and the police will not be able to just confiscate CD. To recieve a mark,  distributor must have a contract with the owner of the materials.

I lold when read definition of this marks.
"control mark need to fight piracy"

>Did anybody else notice the "requires 1.5 free hard drive space" on the back?
Probably they just copy-paste info from original CoH disc

Here i have mark for disc with 4 new CoD games. Seems mark is legal, but games definitely pirate.

LOL
In the last picture i notice that the back paper of the box is not cutted correctly at the bottom. This is poorly made.

Most likely not, THQ is sinking as it seems from the latest financial reports. So we can stick to our beloved mod but on the other hand the biggest question is-whoever will buy THQ/RELIC will keep the COH1 servers? If not then we are all doomed.

Well certainly they are going to be keeped online as they aren't that expensive because of peer to peer usuage in CoH1/DoW etc.

sorry to revive this semi dead thread, but, if the servers go down wont we just use hamachi, game ranger, gamespy comrade, or some other distro of this type?

Hehe yeah I remember this from Russia as well. You can buy anything practically anywhere. Cops don't care, and even if they did it's not like it would stop anyone over there.
