Title: Launcher stops working?

Everytime I try to start the EF launcher, I get an error message saying it stopped working, I've run as admin, I've uninstalled/reinstalled 9 times, I've uninstalled CoH multiple times and it's still not working. Is there anyway to fix this?

This is caused by the server suffering from heavy traffic due to thousands of people sending requests simultaneously. Turn off auto-update, editing the "EF_Launcher_Config.ini" file in the launcher directory, changing the line

Code: [Select]

Auto_Update=True to

Code: [Select]

Auto_Update=False
Then it should work again, just download the patch from another mirror:

Which folder is it in? I searched the EF folder and nothing came up.

"EF_Launcher_Config.ini" file is in your Company of Heroes folder.

Then you installed EF in a wrong place? IIRC this error was already fixed and the launcher restarts by itself and turns it off by default.

I installed it in the CoH steam folder, the launcher file is not there, is there anyway I can download it? since I JUST reinstalled for the 11th time in the past month and it's not working properly.

*EDIT*
It worked for the first 3 weeks that I played it back in May, then stopped in the middle of June, I gave up and now I'm retrying.

Have you installed or uninstalled anything in that period of time?

Have you double checked your EF files were not installed in the Program files\THQ folder?

I have, there IS a EF Launcher in THQ folder, but its stuck on updating, should I change it there?

Hello,

My friend is suffering the same launcher crash, but problem is more severe because we want to update game, and get hotfix #1 !!

Would it be possible to get direct link to patch 1.70.1 ???

Kinda having the same problem like above. Downloaded the Mod several times over and over again but it always crashes when starting up.

Things I've done:
- Making sure my COH was up to date
- Downloaded the correct patch of EF (7.1.0.1)

When I've noticed that the launcher crashed
- Went to the confiq file and tried to change the code (False instead of True) but I won't let me save the change (I'm a administrator on my pc so i find that quite odd)
- Put relicdownloader off (even deleted it)

So at this moment I'm not quite sure what to do next.

Try to change the config file after you have closed the launcher.
