I have been working thru the new maps, nice variety guys, thanks. I have noticed that Stormovie seem to be chewed to pieces by Volks w/ mp44s. I have have had two fire fights with vet 2 and no vet Stormovie where the Stormies lost 3-4 vet 2 and 2 no vet stormovie to 1 volks and ~50%health. in both cases Storms started in yellow cover and volks were quickly in yellow cover, other storms moved into yellow cover in support. Other skirmishes with vetted and nonvetted Stormovie have similar results even when volks are in red or No cover. Stormovie seem to work fine vs grens and Sturm truppen (with 2 or maybe 4 Assault rifles) but as I say the volks tear them up. ???

MP40s get damage bonuses vs Sturmovie armour. They are designed as a counter to protect your MGs. Stationary volks in cover will absolutely wreck Sturms.

i dont want to be annoying ass :D :D but sn-2 body armor was mostly bulletresistant to mp-40 bullets=)but anyway we cant compare rl combat to computer-in reality t-34 woudnt survive 6 tiger hits as well ;D

SN-2 Body Armor was resistant to MP-40 bullets from ~75 meters (depending on source its either 50m away or 100m away, so I'll do a good average).

Compare the damage MP40s do to Ingenery vs Sturmovie Ingenery; the armour definitely does something. :P

Sturmovie are designed to counter MGs, bunkers and grenspam. Their counters are fire, snipers, and MP40 volks. This way you have a few different ways to deal with them early game. A spam of Sturmovie will not crush the enemy. You need to use them against what they are good at.

But Sturmovie suck against gren with mg42, how they can counter gren spam? ???

The grens paid for those LMGs, and LMGs were also nerfed against Sturm armour last patch. Sturms will still do well against upgraded grens given the right circumstances.

just get 4 sturmovie, and divide them into 2 groups of 2 and hit the grens from the sides using buildings to hide you untill close. even with the lmg's you'l crush them in close range because lmg's are medium to long range.

Volks with MP40s in general give off lots of damage stationary.  Charging a Volks squad with MP40s would be like charging Rangers with Thomposns (except less durability).

Volk have terrible accuracy one the move so only do it if you have the upper hand or by charging you will have the upper hand. And also Thompsons are assault rifls while MP40s are sub machines. Not the same

What kind of armor the Sturmovies have now? Is it the same with ingenery, I ead that the sturmovie upgarde give them health bonus rather than armor bonus like previous patch.

AFAIK No. They have their own special armor

We weren't even that off topic :P. Besides Volks MP40 are similar to sturm so it pertains to the topic

I was confused about the ingenery upgrades.
"Changed Ingenery upgrades to provide received damage bonuses instead of health bonus to fix some bugs. Minesweeper and (each) flamer upgrade provides 0.7 rec damage, Assault Gear provides 0.4 rec damage." What does this line mean? ???

Rec dmg is the recieved dmg from an enemy AFAIK. SO if you were supposed to take like 10 HP you would take like 7 or 4 now. Prior to this they had more health

Previously, Ingenery started with 32.5hp (still do) and the Sturmovie upgrade multiplied this health and changed it to 80hp. They also received the Sturmovie armour type. Now, Sturms don't get a health bonus when they upgrade. Instead, they get 0.4 damage (roughly equivalent to the 80hp from before) and still change their armour to Sturmovie type. This was done to fix some bugs with the increased health.

Dennis, presumably the received damage multipliers are multiplicative so two flames would yield .7*.7= .49 recieved damage correct. Does this apply to mine damage as well? -Attaboy Jojo for getting the right defense number BTW.

@Pac-Fish THe Thompson is a submachine pistol. It just fires .45 cal pistol bullets.

Yes, the modifiers are multiplicative and apply to ALL incoming damage. Not sure what  you mean by mentioning Jojo.

Sturm armour is pretty similar to soldier armour but gets differences for a few weapons. Generally it should be 0.6 rec dmg vs rifles and things like that. SMGs, flamers, and snipers are all excellent counters as well as MP44s which ignore armour types (do practically the same to all).

PPS submachine gun(Sudaev's submachine-gun) is not assault rifle,and it use 7.62×25mm Tokarev-which was pistol ammo=)thing i find somehow funny that sg-2 body armor was designed for close combat in order to protect assault teams from german pistols and submachine fire,it gave absolutely no protection against rifles=))).but thats rl warfare anyway=)
