Hey guys!
So, with more and more spare time coming to me in this jolly season, I decided to get back into the gaming side of EF, and with that said, I had to try out the RMC once again.
Now I recently tried a quick game with AI, in which during the final moments, a platoon of 4 squads of SAS raiders, accompanied by 3 lieutenants chased down and slaughtered everything, from Grenadiers to Assault Grenadiers, to Marders. While it was atmospheric and frankly beautiful to behold, I had to ask myself, did the Lieutenants have something to do with this?
I am aware that commandos are not affected by the LT buffs, but can contribute to their rank by transferring their kills, as well as being aware that this point has been brought up in topics before (albeit, over a year ago at least), and there never did seem to be a definitive answer. So I ask you, did these Lieutenants turn these raiders into endgame infantry? Or would I have been better off sending them away to shadow my Tommies, and turn them into men of steel instead?
-
They are not treated as commandos, so they get buffed... AFAIK.
-
Damn, that's mean. I really hope that they are affected, because it gives the Brits some much needed late-game mobility. Perfect for hit and run players.
Anyways, I'll keep testing this and see if I notice any discrepancies.
Either way, nice work on the RMC! They're looking good!

Yes, Raiders are affected by LT and CPT bonuses. It is actually a big design flaw that Comms do not get vet because they are too strong out of the box and then don't scale. This is because they are not designed to work with LTs, which always accompanies the vBrit blob.

I can understand the principle of Commandos not being affected, in that they are supposed to be "behind enemy lines", raid and plunder troops, too fast to be followed around by an officer. Not to mention, with their magical disappearing trick, LT's often get left out in the open while everyone else is invisible.
However, as you said, it's a major flaw, especially as you progress late into the game, as all of your hard earned veterancy leaves commandos unable to keep up. This is why I usually upgrade to sticking them in Roo's and causing havoc from behind half-decent armour.
On this note, however, I was wondering if you could answer something else for me...
The Lieutenant affects offensive capabilities, which scales depending on how many of them are in the vicinity (I don't think anybody will argue that a squad monitored by 3 LT's is an overpowered, if precarious combination), while the Captain affects all defensive capabilities.
So what benefits does the tank commander bestow? And is it worth it?

CCT grants speed (possibly), accuracy, range, and fire rate.
Basically improved fighting performance
-
The Command Tank gives cooldown/reload and range (extra for FFs, Comet, Achilles). It is absolutely worth it with these tanks. About others, not so sure since the bonuses are less. However, 2 FFs and a vetted CCT will absolutely wreck armour at huge distances.
-
I was going to say! A range buff on a Firefly!? That's just mean!
Cheers guys.

Which reminds me, dunno if it's been brought up or even relevant. But for whatever reason the RMC version of the CCT doesn't seem to want to gain veterancy at ALL, despite tailing two battle-worn comets the whole round. I'll try to recreate the situation in a skirmish game, but I'd still like to know if anyone else had gotten something like this (Or if that's the point).

Could be a buggy :P

ouch! probably I forgot to put it for the second hotfix XD... my bad.
