It would cost 250 munis but give much more firepower against inf and maybe damage lightly armored units? And an late war IS-2 that will cost 50 more fuel and 100 more MP but has much better side armor/frontal armor almost the same as an IS-3, More accurate and a longer ranged cannon, better sight range and better speed.
Return SU-100 again? Or will it just be redundant?
Last thing, Can we upgrade Guards to have some lend lease bazookas? Or will they still be "OP"

Uuh, 250 muni for a Machinegun upgrade? isn't that a bit much ???
The NSV was made in the 70s, wouldnt really fit into the whole eastern front ww2 thing i think ;)
About the IS-2, i think its already a late war version in the game so, wouldn't really make sense with another upgrade, sure i'd love to see a DSkh upgrade for the IS-2 though ;D
Hell, would even be cool to see a high explosive shot ability, like the tiger aces longshot thing. Ofcourse you have to balance it propery too.

There's been a bit of internal discussion towards the IS-2, a late war IS-2 may appear to replace the IS-3 in the future while the tank hall version of the IS-2 would be replaced with a weaker 1943 model. SU-100 may make a return, but in the end it's all down to whether or not it's really needed and if it can be balanced adequately, same goes for lend lease zooks.
-
I think the SU faction don't need more models. Basically this is a game not a historical lessons about tanks and weapons in WW2.
If the IS-3 is already here then just keep it here. Just keep the work for the devs minimum as much as possible though (faster for the Ostheer maybe ;D).

Problem being the model isn't ours, its from MoW, we need to replace it anyway so we might as well replace it in some historical fashion, and much quicker than creating a new IS-3. These changes wouldn't come about until after the Ostheer is out, we're not going to start new Soviet assets while there are still Ostheer assets needing completed.

Your removing the IS-3? So the new tank hall version will be weaker than the current IS-2? Correct me if I'm wrong.

No idea, this won't be happening until after the Ostheer is released (if it happens at all), its difficult to predict what balance changes we'll be making by then.
-
(if it happens at all)
Im a bit worried you said that :(

Why? I'm talking about the IS-2 switch, we might decide to do something different, but currently I think swapping the IS-3 with the late IS-2 and putting an early version IS-2 in the tank hall is probably the way we're going to go.
-
I thought you were talking about the Ostheer would or not be released at all.

The SU-100 for some reason really was one of my favorites would love to see it return
-
While I loved the SU-100, wasn't it a pain to balance? And I'm not sure if the thought of a weaker IS-2 is appealing. It's the only true allied heavy tank (the IS-3 is unique, Pershing is meh, ISU-152 you only get one at a time.)
-
Well, if IS-2's need balance changes they will be balanced to the discretion of the balance team, but I can't comment on future balance because I don't happen own the palantÃr of orthanc. Let's be clear though, we're not going to be nerfing the IS-3 replacement just because it's not an IS-3 model, similarly we'll not be nerfing an 1943 IS-2 just because it's not using the 1944 IS-2 model. Late war IS-2 may very well have IS-3 stats.
