ofc, this is just a game, but I think that it would be unrealistic if the USSR and the Anglo Armies could fight in the same battles in CoH, because they technically never fought side by side in the war. However, Wehr/PE/Ostheer fighting together vs the USSR would seem suitable, as elements of both the Wehr and PE(SS) did indeed fight against the USSR.

We want people to be able to play with all factions without having to switch between EF and vCoH all the time. Its up to whoever is hosting the match to decide if they want a historical match, or just a match. You can only play EF with others who have EF, so you will never come across somebody without the Soviets.

Great cause my friends and I are gonna have a giant LAN battle when this comes out we already decided who will be who :) every one fought to be Russia. But two germans are gonna be wher so... But yeah its gonna be fun

OK Thanks for the fast reply. 1 other question. This might have been answered before, but I still don't understand. If I have, say EF on, can I still join regular multiplayer games with players that don't have EF? ofc, it will probably boot me from the game room if I try to change factions to USSR or Ostheer, but what if I have EF on, but just wanna play a round with standard CoH factions. Will I have to restart my CoH (w/o EF on this time) to join the regular MP games?

I think I saw somewhere that if you're using EF, the other players you join with will have to have EF too, regardless of what faction you are playing. You shouldn't be lacking games a few days after the initial release when more people have downloaded... hopefully.

But that would mean that they would have to download it. Many people (kids) will think some one is gonna try to like hack them or some wired thing like that.

lol, why would you think that will happen?

I further that this is not a probable situation. People understand the concept of "mods" and that it is neccessary to download and install the same mod if they expect to play together...with that mod.
This should be pretty much basic common sense by now.

Have you ever gone to chat and talk about a mod???? They will hate you :) I don't know why. They say it ruins gameplay

well such noobs/geeks are probably not worthy of playing this fantastic mob anyway and would probably just ruin the fun for us.

So im almost possitive i get this now but plz correct me if im wrong.
EF will appear as another icon, So you can still start up regular coh and not have EF stuff exist.
But if you want to play as soviets, you would have to start up EF, where you can still play as regular factions alongside Soviets/Othseer.
Do i have that correct?

Pretty much, yes.

Considering I don't play PUGs I guess I don't run into this very often. I will usually be involved in very coordinated games with 8 or so people that I know personally.
Those people are all adults, and even though most aren't "good with computers" they can at least grasp the concept of a mod!
