I'm running CoH Opposing Fronts 2.602.0 through Steam and everything works great. I download EF and the laucher applies all the patches so it is running 1.7.2.0. When I then launch EF, I get prompted for an EA patch inside the game required to play online. This patch fails to download. Any suggestions?

Check the integrity of game cache on Steam. You know, go to library->then right click on your CoH game->properties->local files tab...
-
I will, but the non-EF version of the game works fine. I'm only have issues when I open the game through the EF launcher, which appears to launch a different version than steam.
-
All files validated. That's not the issue.
-
Well, usually when that happens is because of this. Have you tried creating a shorcut (http://www.easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=5312.0) of the mod by yourself? Without using the launcher of course.
Does the same error happen?
-
Could it be that the steam version of the game and the original version of the game are in different directories?
-
To be clear, the original and OP I installed through CDs, but then upgraded to Tales of Valor through steam. I am currently reinstalling EF into the steam directory. It had been installed in the THQ directory.
-
If you have two games of Company of Heroes installed on the same PC and session, you will have issues. This is a known issue :). I suggest to only have one of them or if you want to keep both, you need to install EF on the latest CoH game installed(which I assume it was ToV on Steam).

I have successfully installed EF on top of the Steam version, but the launcher does not appear to be pointing at the Steam version. What should happen when I launch the Steam version outside of the launcher? Should I see Russian units?
-
If you correctly pointed the installer and all the patches to the steam path, then check the settings menu on the launcher and fix the path there as well.
-
Okay, problem fixed. The steps were: (1) uninstall OP in the THQ folder, (2) install EF to the steamapps Tales of Valor Folder, and (3) set the path of the launcher to the steamapps COH folder.

Don't suppose anyone knows how to swap the IS-3 for the ISU-152 in the rewards panel? ;)
