I have recently played a lot of PvP in EF and realised how rewarding it is to win with the Soviets
Most Axis Players are not prepared for the awesomeness of Tank Hunters or Partisans *The Red Army stands...*
It is so much fun and i would like more people online (no compstomps)
Also pls rework Kursk because it is horribly missbalanced

I've arranged for game nights on Saturdays at 8:00pm GMT where people come on and play some automatches. Feel free to join in. The first one will be this week and it'll hopefully continue every week if it catches on. It would be good for as many people as possible to play.

Most Axis players has fear of the Russians, they won't lose, so they prefers the noob-skirmish games. ;)

Playing CoH mods is the official EF channel. The idea is to try and automatch first, and if you don't get a game THEN try a basic match. Personally I don't use the chat channel. I use my friends list instead. Try adding everyone in the multiplayer names thread in general discussion. Also, add anyone you come across that you see is playing EF (and isn't in a skirmish...).

Well I'm kinda jobless for the next 2 weeks so I will be on everyday. Not too good at 1v1 but if you want 2v2 or comp stomp im game. Game name is Zeik. Let's say 08:00 UTC so it has to be 03:00pm eastern time. In Germany it is 21:00 then, for those who are too lazy to calculate ;)

Sorry for OT but i want to answer the question:
Seems to be a result of overheating. my cpu cooler doesn't seem to work that well anymore and/or the thermal grease doesn't transmit the heat anymore. When I run Everest (a computer overwatch program) and run the system stability test with CPU and especially FPU (which is also responsible for graphical calculations) the temperature goes to 90°C, sometimes to 100°C and I know that can't be healthy for my pc. Because of this my computer crashed ingame several times and my stats are full of losses that weren't necessary >:(. I'll care about this in a few days. Maybe I also get a fridge into my bedroom to cool this stupid thing ;)

I didn' build it myself, I have it now almost two years, it's a Intel boxed coolerand my CPU is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550. A friend of mine will care about this mess.

The coolers the intel chipsets come with are apparently shit. You can buy a much better one for like 30 bucks.

Indeed, I have a quad core pc at the office that has the same problem due to overheating(We didn't buy anything because isn't authorized yet, it's gateway btw).

two years is kinda the time when most PC's start to show their age. Though definitely buy a better CPU cooler.

It crashed in the lategame but it was awesome
our enemys lost the IS-152 (the tiger hunter) to Panthers
it was a great 2v2 ;D

Hmm... I think, If I may, that forum clock sucks. Frankly deciding at which "forum hour" we play is ridicolous. I hope there's any program, which can help us to communicate. Like Hamachi chat option, or other stuff. Just to write information and send it to the rest. PMs and posts aren't good idea - I enter forum 3 times a day...
So conclusion: we need communicator to inform about games which are going to be played.

Greeting friends, I come to you looking for comrades to 1v1 and 2v2 with most games are huge compstomp online and thats just not my style.
It very hard to find player wanting to 1v1 2v2 or 2v2 compstomp even.
I prefer playing soviet my best faction I believe is US as my highest ranked is lvl 13 US solo auto
but I play axis too if any prefer to be allied sometime too we take turns

Eastern Front is actually quite active - I almost always get a game going within like 5 minutes, sometimes 10. It's not always a human vs. human match, though. But most of the time, it is!
Best thing is that it seems like more and more people are switching to Eastern Front, I meet new faces everyday, and my friendslist is growing and growing.

you see, most of people likes doing PvP, but since I remember it was really hard to find PvP, most of folks were doing Compstomps. Looks like balancing EF and increasing amount of PvP matches we ( community) play is luring people. And that's good. Good for EF, and for pros who can pwn newbies ;)

Today was the most active day in weeks! Played 10 ours today (i wanted to work ::))and in the end i was quite exhausted.
But many active forum members arent online or i havent seen them. Its better to play than posting offtopic!

I'm the same boat :P... I even play campaigns on EF XD... as it doesn't mess with the original code, the experience is the same(and less buggy than other mods than changes everything).

Why would you? - It (CoH) is not bound to your PC, only to your account. I do this for a while now.

i agree, relic needs to do another patch a lot of the community left i dont know if this has a direct impact on EF though i have a hunch it does

Well think that could be a bit of wishful thinking considering they proclaimed 2.602 to be the last patch did they not..?
Personally think that once the mod gets to 1.4 and gets integrated that may just do the trick but its anyone's guess at this point...
Think if we get people on ts for matches that too would be a boost.

I highly doubt 2.602 will be the last patch regardless of what they've said, not unless they seriously plan on letting the COH series wither and die ;)

I'm a newbie player who played this mod since a month, and now I can't play anything else than soviets (the devs of this mod are crual, they have no rights to make such a cool faction )
I have never played against a human player (neither in vanilla), and would like to have a casual game to begin with, or at least with someone who can learn me something.

don't worry, you said 5-7 pm in US so it's means 5-7 am in VN. I always wake up on 4 already and I can play CoH on anytime if I don't have to complete any homeworks/tests or being heart attack for playing game too long :P

I'm on most days (being unemployed has its perks)... Times? well... I'm at GMT -10 here, (Australian Eastern Daylight-savings time), and at the time of writing this post it is 1:22pm. Admittedly I'm not really much of a morning person ^^; so that narrows the window some-what... But I do tend to stay up late too, so it balances out (for playing against Euro-zone peeps anyway).

I suck, as I said before, but I'm getting better!
I can usually play around 12:06 Central time, till 2:30, then afterwards from 3:50 central till however late I feel is needed.

This is for all;
If you think you suck in 1v1 and that's why feel uncomfortable to play PvP games, I just say "Don't". Here you can find people to practice and get better in the game rather than get bashed by regular players in 1v1 Automatch in COH. It's not the same thing here. No one in EF would curse you or make fun of you because you play bad. Feel comfortable and push yourself to play Pvp Games instead of comp stomps. Believe me you will like the game more. This community is a chance, so use it.
You can make 1000 games vs Expert AI and in the first PvP game your mg would be flanked in the 1st minute and you would not understand what kind of truck hit you :D. Comp stomps would not take you anywhere good. Trust me.
Find people and always play Player vs Player. 1v1 , 2v2 doesn't matter. You are with friends and comrades here, you will only get better, not worse.

Lol Phi, I am also poor player.
Not everyone here is an expert player and if he is he will help you with usefull tips, like GodlikeDennis did with me.
Riggsman said it correctly - here everyone will help everyone if he asks for help :)
In fact EF matches that Dennis broadcas on his stream bring me back to CoH to play this mod. This was almost year ago.
Now Riggs is streaming I am also trying to do so and I hope that someone watching my stream will love the game again and the mod just like I did :)

I'd love to play with any of you, and thanks Riggsman, I play 1v1's and 3v3s in VCoH, It gave me the taste that the community is mostly elitist :/ EF has shown me it's not true at all.
