well i think that many of your ideas are good but when you got to the doctrines for the most part they were all unoriginal ideas used by all the other armys. one thing that makes this game so good is that all the factions are completely different but still balanced in there own way and not just a slightly different combination of the same doctrines

the tri device would work if it had to but if it is possible to have it also hide troops as otherwise what would be the point of a hidden op if all your guys to reinforce. that way you can make one hide troops in it wait for the Germans to move on and cause havoc behind the lines.
as for the placing them in buildings. this is because it would allow the normal movement of Germans through the map as all of them would go around it if they came across it so it would be obvious that it was there and since people don't use buildings that much it would be easy to hide in but still allow the Germans to use any one to find it by trying to enter it. so if the player suspected that there was one around they would need to look for it building by building diverting troops to do so. so all and all it would be vary usefull and would add another element to to the game. as for making it only in buildings not outside is because you are using the urban warfare doctrine so you would think you would do that on a map with lots of buildings so that should not hinder your ability to make them. instead of having the second guerrilla warfare upgrade on the urban warfare doctrine be booby trapping points have the partisans come with it and have the second slot give Russians the ability to garrison buildings and make a reinforcement point that cannot be seen by the Germans unless the try to go inside of it. while Russians are in it they can also not be seen unless the Germans find the point.
this type of thing was used all over the Russian front but most notably in Stalingrad ware there were tons of such places ware the Russians could hide form the Germans and reorganize an attack. ya the Sherman costing 640 or so makes it so not worth it your better off spending that on Russian tanks or any thing for that matter it needs to be cheaper to be affective and i also think the tank riders need to be a 100 cheaper but that's a different discussion.

Balance Discussion / Re: [1.11]Upgraded Mortar« on: May 29, 2010, 12:04:40 AM »Seems like since 1.10 came out Soviet mortars are arty-like AFTER up-ing them in Armoury... when they fire SO-DAMN-HEAVY-EXPLOSIVE rounds I'm not suprised they take out bunker with two hits, but before upgrading them, when they use classing mortar grenades, they should act vs bunkers like normal mortar. i second that 8

no i disagree. the Russians who are heavily inf oriented are vary vulnerable to mgs and mg bunkers so it is supposed to be there as a counter until tanks come online. otherwise a pair of mg bunker could wipe out half of the Russian army. and since they are vary expensive easily killed off and non recrewable if any thing your not getting your moneys worth

Making one side slow, the other one extremly fast (in building and capturing stuff), or to give them an advantage in costs, will frustrate any player. It will also take the chalange and fun out of playing Soviets. are you talking to the developers or me. if your talking to me then i assure you that i do care about balance and a ton of t34\85s early in the game is not balanced. they are in many ways better than is2 as they are fast and agile with a vary powerful gun and good armor (now equivalent to a Churchill if i read the changelog right) and most of all its cheap so combined with the ability to bring them to bare so soon makes it boring and easy as the Russians and hard and frustrating as the Germans 11

i know you guys are busy but the last hot fix although it did fix the ease of getting good inf it did not address the ease of getting good tanks as a matter of fact it did absolutely nothing i can still produce over a dozen t34\85s within 20-25 min while the Germans are just starting to produce there first couple panzer 4 it just is not right. if you guys plan on fixing it in the near future then good. but if you don't then let me know so i can stop playing this now broken mod. it wouldn't take much just a tank depot that cost like 30 more fuel. now don't get me wrong i fell in love with this mod an played it from the beginning but please PLEASE fix this problem.

Ostheer Suggestions / Re: The SS« on: May 26, 2010, 05:57:15 AM »The Waffen SS didn't play a very important role on the Eastern Front until the Battle of Berlin, so I say no i don't know what your talking about there were tons of ss used in the eastern front about 60% as a matter of fact. from Leningrad, Sevastopol, and Stalingrad and every ware in between. they were also used in larger concentrations than in the west and with better weapons. 13

i was playing a game as the Germans and all the Russians just started to retreat.
so one- can the Russians retreat now or is this a glitch two- if its not a glitch then i think you should have it go back to ware they could not. three if you decide not to change it then make it so they don't retreat at the first sign of trouble. an mg shoots at them for two seconds they retreat, a tank fires a round into a large group of them they all retreat, a mortar round lands near them and they all retreat its ridicules 14

Balance Discussion / Re: russains make heavy tanks to fast now« on: May 25, 2010, 02:09:26 AM »I find that the speed in which you get heavy tanks is roughly the same IF you do not go down the armor commander, because the U.S lended sherman comes way too quickly you don't even need the Shermans. you can pump out t34/85s so rapidly and so soon that its actually less efficient to call in shermans. ok people to see what i mean go to the map Orel 4v4. start it as Russians with allies as Russians put out post on your three fuel points and devout all your fuel to making t34/85s. make a command squad and two guard squads to start attacking with before your tanks come out. do this a see not only how fast you win but by the end of that short time how many tanks you have produced. with all expert AI i on average get 11 t34/85s and win in 25 min
