Truck lock down sectors, but do not gain additional resources unless an upgrade is researched.

when you say this i hope you really mean they gain resources like an American or German observation post ??? as opposed to the massive resources they to gain with upgrade...other wise you could be hampering them and giving massive concessions to axis because event PE can lock down points with scout cars though it is easy to take care of and, cost a little population and muni.

Please tell me the 20mm emplacemnet soldier is just a placeholder. I hate Relic's vanilla fantasy skins.

actually relics "fantasy skins" are just late war winter uniforms but it would be nice to see some older uniforms on more troops

What made them OP has always been the glider crush. They're really not that good and never have been.

well they are not very good vs armor (unless you use PIAT blob) but the regular commandos were always great vs infantry ;)

Recon Element would be cooler if the rest of the squad were equiped with Stens.

I'm just sayin'.  ;)
However the "coolest" option isnt always the most balanced... unfortunately.

tompsons and stens arent very different what made comandos OP was the fact they had 6 stens and they were not all that worse than rangers with tommy guns so it could be a fesable option

Good, I could think of a million thing I would want before new buildings. Ostheer, more doctries, more units, fix brit, new voices, possible to see when USSR tanks lose their main gun and of cause better balance.

Also don't use the PE buildings they are huge.
Oh brits... are they going to be fixed? ::)
About your PE buildings suggestion... you can bet it ;).

fix brits whats wrong with them (i havent played for a while)  :'(

the donating 5+ USD allows pre-loading of ostheer, but does that mean that the ostheer are only being released to them?

Ostheer Suggestions / Re: New Ostheer Concept.

I like this idea a lot but I think it needs a few more things: your out posts need an Mg when turned in to a hold out bunker, another infantry unit maybe (only one is too much like PE) and how does your 88mm Kwk 43 deploy other wise great i really like your company command  ;D

Balance Discussion / Re: [1.11] Limit on Units
« on: June 09, 2010, 02:46:25 AM »
i agree the cap should be incresed or removed on off map units because most of them are under powered in small groups  :( and one of the most powerful units of the game are non doctrinal basic units ie PE infantry

ostwinds can handle rangers pretty well to you just have to keep them repaired and unfortunaty they never get skirts like Pzk.pfw IV

the max of 3 units is most harsh on airborne and if you think rangers are noobish lets not discus PE greniders and, the blitz krige storm troopes both are more powerful and do not have a cap. ;)

You're overlooking something though. When blobbing PGs or Stormtroopers, one or two machineguns opening up on the blob and you've basically been checked. Break suppression is not an ability that the axis units have in their inventory. Thus americans and brits can EASILY counter mass PGs or stormtroopers, with MG bunkers, .30 cal teams, Maxon Mount M3 halftracks, Bren carriers with MG upgrade, etc.

Airborne and Rangers have no such vulnerability. They can easily break suppression. En masse they can be almost impossible to counter. While it is very expensive to get such a blob up, it's even more expensive to buy the units you need to counter such blobs.

Keep the damn cap. 3 airborne or ranger squads is enough for any battlefield situation.

Storm troops can cloke, PG have at and incenderary grenades panzersheikes and mp44s sprint and group zele; mg teams, nest, halftraks, and bren cariers are only a minor pest to these units used right ;D
volks grenaders with mp40s can kill airborne with ease and often rangers (VGs are much cheaper than rangers and airborne)
but i agree with one thing rangers and airborne can be anoying
