I have this same problem. even with game at low settings, i get a lag spike/momentary freeze that last at most 1 second, but happens every 1 to 1.5 seconds. I can run the normal game at maximum settings with no problem. older version of mod work fine on maximum settings. Also, when game starts, everything stays frozen and my base area on map is black until I hit F10 and then resume game (on skirmish games) anyone know how to fix this?

Hmm... i tend to think that the fast capping is a trade mark of the conscripts. This way you still build them later in the game and mix them with the rest of your army so they can cap the posts while the rest of your army keeps moving.

I'm disappointed.
We've waited this long for a patch, and what we end up with is an update which actually WORSENS the balance in favor of the soviets with the sherman.
After this long I was expecting IMPROVEMENT, not a worsening of the balance. Along with the multitude of crashes and errors.
Hay man, you should not complain, I can tell u from experience that it takes a long time and a lot of people to make a mod, but more importantly, it takes ever longer to make a balanced mod. How did u expect The EF team to balance a mod that is still as new and unfinished as EF? I like that they added the sherman, it makes perfect historical sense. now that they have feedback they can balance the sherman. But the expect it to be balance right off the bat it foolish. Even the original COH was not balanced when it was first released. I say Good job to the developers and keep up the good work. I understand how much time and effort you have had to put in just to get the mod up to this point, and i want to let you know that i appreciate it.

Sorry to already be dishing out bugs but a problem ive recieved with breakthrough stategy I don't know if anyone else will have got this but i went sherman, mechanics, animal killer, motivating speech then tank riders and I was then stuck on 3 CP for the rest of the game... no way of getting IL-2 sturmivoks??? also the sherman comes to early and is easy to spam like Chancellor has said
I got a very similar problem. only difference is i got stuck at 4 and i went down the "motivating speech" path first.

I was playing with the new update (1.10). I was playing the Russians and picked the breakthrough assault strategy. I was going up the tech tree and wend down the path that starts with the "inspiring peach", and went up that path till i got "IL-2 Sturmovik". Then i started down the other path with "Sherman M42A (76) and got to "mechanics". I then noticed that I could not get passed 4 tech points so i could get "The Juggernaut" which costs 5. Whenever the circle would get filled, instead of giving me another tech point, it would go back to being empty and i would still be at 4 points. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix for this?

Hi again guys,
Sorry about the update server being offline yet again . It seems the issue was not solved. I've modified the protocol a little and dealt with a few visible issues. The server will be online again today allowing me to assess the issues at hand if there are any. If it runs smoothly and issue free, hopefully the update protocol will remain stable and won't have to be taken offline again

I do not mean to be a bother, but as of Monday, may 17, 2010 at 10:03AM i still cannot update. I love the mod and if there are any updates out I want to be able to get them as soon as they are released, is there a fix for this problem out somewhere for DL? I have client version 1.04, and launcher version 3.1.0.0
