I've also had a go on the CoH2 beta, and i get graphics issues :-\ flickering and such, but anyway.

I think its pretty wierd that the elephant is a non-doc unit, its just....wierd. The brummbar is also pretty heavily armored, i had 2 T-34s flanking one but most of the shots were bouncing, which is also something that happened when i attacked a stug III with a IS-2, the first 2 shots bounced >:( i destroyed it shortly after though with a Zis-3.

hope they tweak the damage, because as it is right now, it heavily favors the germans( tank damage/pen that is)

Well its a beta :P

Yeah ofc ;D i love the Voice acting though, and the weathersystem is pretty nice, so its not all bad :P

Eastern Front / Re: interesting WWII photos

Yep, it as only a prototype though

It had a long barreled version of the 152mm howitzer, but there were problems with the guns stability and quality, and the war ended before these problems could be fixed

Yeah, the cannon had barrel reliability issues right ???

anyway found some more pics ;D

First one is of a stock ISU-122 i think, looks late-war.

the other pic is another ISU-122 but it has a longer cannon, guess its another prototype. (its a ISU-130, thanks Robotnik, wasnt sure what it was^^)

Found this when i was skulking around wiki reading about tanks ;) If wiki can be trusted on this, its a ISU-152-2, a version of the ISU-152 made to be a pure tankhunter.

General Discussion / Re: Russian Voices
« on: March 23, 2013, 06:49:34 PM »
The voice are from the russian version of vCoH, just like there was a german one with german voices.

If you lsiten carefully, they talk about shermans and halftracks.
Like what  :D

I have been thinking about it a very long time that I would start another thread to match the soviet infantry voices to the vCoH voices.

For example:

Rangers  - Guards/Naval Infantry
Sherman - T34

That's pretty much all I know about.

Yupp, also there are several more you can identify, like the KV-1(churchill) JS-2/ISU (firefly) conscripts (brit section)  ;)

The russian voices is something ive been thinking about a lot actually, are there russian voice files for the stuart/ cromwell too ??? really dont like the current T-34/T70 voices, since they lack that radio buzz. Also, the KVs voice lines are great ;D best voice lines yet in a RTS imo, dont really understand him with all his shouting, but it sounds awesome ;D

Wow

I'll just leave this here ;D

Well, the panther has a longer barrel on its 75mm, whichs means greater velocity and thus, more range ;D

ingame though, i guess is bacause the marder/su-76 tanks have crap armour, so they need to stay far away to survive battles, the jagdpanther on the other hand has beastly armour, and its range is still good.

although i was suprised how much shorter the JPs range is compared to the marder.

ah, nice ;D

It would be very useful to have more info in the unit section btw, things like hitpoints, vet bonuses ;)

Also, the gun on the t34/76 has better penetration than the one on the sherman as well, but you have to make sure you can hit the enemy tank first  ;D

Some solutions to this problem include getting up close to the enemy (not recommended against infantry wielding handheld AT however), or stopping the tank before it fires, since firing on the move greatly decreases accuracy even more (this tactic is also used with the cromwell as well, since it has horrible accuracy on the move in comparison to other tanks)

Oh, the pen is better?? Good to know  ;D Shoot and scoot is really useful ofc, but with the really bad accuracy, you end up missing even at close range :-\
In what changelog can i see its current vet btw ???

Do you have corsix mod studio and some experience with it?  You can open the "Eastern_Front.module" located in 'C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes' with corsix mod studio, then you can check the Ebps of the T34 and see its hit points/armor type.

Oh ;D so i just google this corsix thing to download it then?? dont have any experience with it :P ill check it out

So, ive been playing with the T-34/76 more lately. Been a fan of these tanks for a long time. (recently bought a 1/35 scale model of one, really nice ;D)

But i feel like the 76 model is pretty crappy ingame, the cannon is fine(since its based on the shermans 75mm, but its armour feels weak, and its accuracy/sight range is horrible.
I dont really see the point in making its accuracy and sight so bad ingame ??? i mean, if i understand the coh stats correctly the T-34 has a 30% chance to miss shots even at point blank range :-\ which is pretty wierd imo

Is anything being done about its sight range?? a commanders cupola upgrade would be really useful ;D

And finally, is there any way to see how much hitpoints it have?? Can't find anything in the Unit section, and the EF section of the Coh wiki is pretty outdated.

Red Army Suggestions / Re: How about a 45mm at gun?
« on: February 25, 2013, 04:44:58 PM »
Well. The problem is; With 2 different anti tank guns in one faction one of the two anti tank guns will be redundant during the game.
One anti tank gun per nation is the maximum (out of my view).

Ah right, good point. Makes sense ;D

I have been thinking about this lately actually, what you could do is have the long barrel 45mm from the start and you get the Zis-2 after you buy the gunnery upgrade.

This would be pretty cool i think ;D The 45mm would do pretty good against ACs/Stugs/panzerIVs but you would need the gunnery upgrade to deal with panthers.

Also about the Zis-2, am i the only one who thinks the bunker down skill is out of place ???, since the zis-2 the upgrade basicly makes it most suited for defensive action, not like the AP round or the stealth which are useful in both defence and attack :-\  Something else, like a rapidfire thing or something like that would be much more useful.
