And i dont remember who said it, but the AI does need to be toned down a bit.  I used to face easy comp to test things, but now i have to constantly focus to try and stand a chance against them.

The AI is ok, if you want to test things pick a map with high resource points and bridges (the less the better) and block or blow them up.

if you want to test things please do not use the AI
grab a buddy and test something playing him

the T90 is my "oh shit pe spams ACs and inf halftracks" unit

and if you have 2 or more it supresses blobs very well

imho its good for 30fuel

because i can not recrew it
when playing with my mate being us or brit than for sure i do not destroy it when he has something to recrew arround

but usually we play double russians and than its impossible to recrew it -> destroy to let it not fall into enemy hands

As I said it can't only shot if it sees the ennemi

i agree the mortar without upgrade is a bit crap now...give it attack ground or give it attack ground function at least when its not set up
so it has to set up each time for a new attack ground
but when you research the upgrade it behave like any other mortar and its very good

its accuracy is exactly the same like other AT guns so its fine
and when its upgraded its penetration become awesome
almost like AP round penetration

its accuracy/splash is very good against infantry or paks
but it take some time until its bullet hits so infantry can move away when microed
and it hard hit armor like stugs when it hits
and its very good against pe light vehiclesand infantry blobs

i would see the kv2 more against support weapons like paks, hmgs and stuff

anyone else annoyed by the fact that you cant recrew your own AT-Guns but the enemy can?

i do

its technically currently not possible to let the russians recrew but maybe its possible to let no one recrew

im very annoyed when someone steal my mortar and i can't do shit against that until i have armor aount to attack ground it

if that isnt possible to let no one recrew the weapons than maybe make them destroyable by small arms fire

actually when i started playing that mod i was very surprised that it was easier to win for me with a complete new different faction than with the old ones, which i played since 09.2006

people should expect some loses until they figured out some strategies for a different faction

I`m lobbying for the Soviets `couse everyone seam to play against them, and I don`t think all-out-nerfing will be good for this epic, 3 year sweet&tears mod witch I came to enjoy more then any other game.
I`m extreme, I turn everything up to 11  8)

actually i have to disagree
its more difficult to get a game when playing soviet or an other allied faction when running EF than in vanilla COH

and your right its not all about nerfing its about balancing the mod
i prefer equal chances playing any of the 5 (6 in future maybe) factions which are selectable in EF CoH mod.

"with my teammate" Why don't you play 1vs1? I have also good teammates lvl 16 and more ranked 1vs1. This is too easy. You should have asked him for a dual.  :P ;D

because iam a (2v2) teamplayer
i stopped ranking up in 1v1 automatch in 2006/2007

sorry I only play Soviets   ;)

eh thats no good prerequisite to take part on any discussion in that forums section mate
and actually its like having just half the fun to play half the armies

How do you play it? 1v1, 2v2? It`s one thing to balance - complete other to nerf everything.
I play this game 24/7 for sole purpose of helping making it better.
Setback for the Soviets? hardly, put Brits+Soviets and Soviets will always prevail, the only improvement is for Axis players , in 1v1 they can rape Soviets now, especially if they get to in mid and late game.

i would like to play your axis with my teammate to show you how russians should be played

but with a microed ISU152 and some sight u can easy kill a KT without getting any damage at all because of the firefly range

i think the to strong IS2 is one of the problems why T34 or SU arnt used that much

when i play with my teammate doube russians, i build T1-T2-Tankhall and save up for IS2 to keep spending all my full only for IS2 as soon as i have 150 again

my teammate builds T1-Tankhall-T90 to get rid of light vehicles and to help flanking hmgs and supporting against mp40 volks or pe blobs

Soviets need to be balanced against the Wehr and PE anyway to create a level playing field. It's not balanced if both sides have their own 'Super Faction' that can kick the ass of the vanilla Armies without question.
But nobody here wont real balance it.They falling in love with his new Red Army and did not see the need for general change in  a bad game play.This can not be corrected by small changes.

give it some time, there can't be a patch every day
balancing issues need to be posted and collected to be fixed

and i doubt that most people prefer a faction to be played exclusively

the SU-85 has just 300HP (same as stug) but Hetzer armor (Hetzer has 400HP)
its gun range is a bit bigger than the medium tanks (45) and its gun has an awesome penetration

but i agree for its current pricing its health is to low
maybe increase it by 15% or give it 47.5 range like the Panther to be a glass cannon tank destroyer in the back

ISU>heavy german armor.

Use/paks/gwagon/marder/schrecks and its dead.

Marders and Geschützwagen suck against the ISU because their penetration modifier lr is <0.24 that means less then every 4 shot will penetrate while the ISU 2 shots marders/gwagon

the penetration of pak38 is even more worse its 0.11256 lr
that means you can stand with your ISU in front of a pak and almost only every 10th hit will even penetrate

at least the first shoots while pak is cloacked have a bit better penetration possibility

eh and you need avg 11 penetrating hits of marder to kill the isu that means you need around 40 hits from a marder
pak is even more (14 penetrating hits so around 100-120 hits total because deflecting do 15% of the 115dmg)
at least a isu do not 2 shots paks in most cases and you can get some free cloacked hits with it

KTs and Jagd are around 1000MP too because you pay 500MP to call in and get a MP income draine for some time of avg around 500MP
