Strategy and Tactics for Ostheer / Basic strategies to one who just downloaded OH

Hello,

I Played lots of EF year ago, and now noticed that OH has finally arrived, and install mod again. But how to play OH?

I feel Ostheer's stuff weak early in the game, get annyed with Soviet AT - guns, and found playing OH needing much micromanagement.

Could someone wrote a quick guide inside that faction, how to archieve a "winning combinations" of units. Or just tell, how you play and win?

Ostheer beta must be somewhere....

It is said: "Donators get a link to ostheer beta first".

Ok, My 5€ donation is next to nothing, but even OH is beta, it would be nice to try it with my friend once?

Hey, how to use soviet armors?!

Light tanks T-70, T-90 are just late game halftracks.
T34/76 can not match tanks.
T34/85 is best so far, fast but little lacks anti-infantry, and loses to Panthers.
IS-2 is far tooooo slow. Even Jadgpanthers and other assault guns can flank it 
SU-85 costs 600mp, and has armor thick like paper. Definitely unbalanced doctrinal unit.

If soviets are not going to have halftracks, BT-5 or BT-7 would be nice addition to their early arsenal... Those were, what the german infantry faced first at 1940.

DP28 Degtyaryov is definetly NOT an early game weapon. As it shoudl be with some partisans!
Neither MG nest is offensive weapon. I normally run out munition when I play wehrmacht, but with soviets EVERYTHING costs fuel, but munition almost useless.

Oh, yes, true soviets had MG's. First ancient maxims, then Gorynows.
SG43 Stankovyi Goryunova would really be good addition, just it's primitive sound is heroic 

Soviets "have more ways of countering suppression than any other faction". How is that?! I've newer won just by executing straefnie troops...

The same problem still remains: Soviet lack for early suppression weapon.

I have a problems at the early stage, when points are being captured - I almost everytime lose early infantryfights.
Soviets also consume LOT of fuel, which can not be acquired without capturing lots of strategic points. Early.

Same here....

Server is busy with thousands of update requests. Maybe we should make next Eastern Front launher to have default setting "AutoUpdate=0" or just check auto updates once in a week

My friend is suffering the same launcher crash, but problem is more severe because we want to update game, and get hotfix #1 !!

the original question remains: Is there an basic strategy guide for EF?

I started to play multiplayer with my friend, and always the one playing with russians lose against wehrmacht...
...main problem is that mg42's tear sovjets in parts. Soviets lack mobile mg when germans got their mg very early.

Some good games have two difficulty settings:

AI Difficulty, AI Handicap

Which can be adjusted separately. So players can play more variety of games against AI: Smart enemies with little resources, or dummies with lots of resources (like real soviet strategies were  )

might I suqqest that making donations to made possible also without needing to logg in?
Excspecially small contributors would appreciate.
