hi guys. Sorry I haven't been here for a long while, due to real life issues. Now I am making a mod for COH2. I have done most. But I have encountered some problems. Since you guys are professionals, can you please help me, thanks very much. Basically, I am trying to replace M3 with BA-64, and replace M5 with ZiS-6 truck and upgraded it with 25mm AAA in Company of heroes 2. But I don't really know how to make model and animation. Nor do I know how to add them into the game. please help me. I was just wonder I can use the models that have been created by you guys. I was hoping to get PPs-43 and US recoilless gun as well. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, it has been awhile since I last visited this site. But I saw Soviet New Building on the main page earlier. So I re-downloaded the game, but found that in game the building didn't change at all. Do I have to download it separately?? Thanks for any informations.

I know what are you guys thinking when you see this topic. You are probably thinking some nuts is suggesting the mobile MG for the Soviet again.  No, I actually agree with you guys on that. As I recall, a long time ago, the EF had Sherman tank from US lend-lease program. However it was deleted and replaced with SU-76. If I remember correctly, the reason developing team did that is because they wanted a pure Soviet faction with all Soviet designed and built weapons. But look at the Soviet's MG station, they are still using the US made Maxim M1910. So I was thinking, what about a Soviet designed MG like the Degtyarov DS-39. it has a better firing rate like the German MG-42 which would have better infantry suppressing capability. Alternatively, we can have a Degtyarov - Shpagin DShKM 12.7 heavy machine gun that give it a better AP capability. Hi, guys. I heard that the T-90 program was shut down in favour of the ZSU-37. Because as I recall, the EF developing team doesn't like to add in experimental things as unit in the EF, so may I suggest that we add ZSU-37 as a reward unit to replace the T-90? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZSU-37

The US paratrooper gave me this idea. You see the US paratrooper has that ability to call the air-re-supply. It not only leaves you with a pack of fuel and ammo, but also give you 2 mountable weapon, a Maxim MG and a mortar, and this can be shared with the team. This gave me an idea, what if we can share weapons like them, but we can't just make the Soviet just US, we need to differentiate them to make things interesting. OK, let me explain, we add one more upgrade in the Armory or HQ called the "extra infantry weapon supply". After upgrade it, we can then buy extra infantry weapon by using ammo. Rifles, SMGs, light MGs, you can buy only 1 at a time, and it will just appear outside the armory or HQ. And they can be shared amounts the friends in multiplayer mode. For examply, when your friend is playing as the US, and their Paratrooper has no light MGs, and you can buy one for them  This is going to be so interesting!!  Also I have an alternative suggestion as well  Infantry salvaging: It's mainly for the Conscripts. You see, the German engineers has the salvaging ability to extract ammo from the wreckage of vehicles. So I was thinking what if our Conscripts has the same ability. But instead of salvaging ammo from wreckage, they salvage rifle or random infantry weapon from dead corps. This would be so interesting, isn't it!! It will be just like the "Enemy under the gate".  Very Cool, heh? What do you guys thing??

OK, I know that the Soviet AT infantries are meant to be weak and historically they only had AT rifle and has no RPGs. That is not what I am suggesting, so please just bear with me for a sec and hear me out.  Here are the main features of Soviet AT infantry in game: 1: AT-rifle is weak even the with the upgrade that allow 2 rifles in a team, especially when Panzer IV or above come out. 2: Once you achieved level 2 veterency you can have an extra man in the team. 3: If you lost your AT-rifle, you are going to be in a world of hurt (this is just too much). So I suggest that once the "Man against tank" have been upgraded and you achieved level 2 veterency and get your extra man, you can upgrade your AT infantry on team bases with a Simonov PTRS 5 rounds semi-automatic anti-tank rifle. This way, the AT-infantry would be still weak against medium to heavy tanks, but it will be so devastating against light armor. And this upgrade will make the Soviet AT infantry so different with other AT-infantry from other factions, especially the Ostheer AT-rifle man only has the bolt action one. And will make things so interesting. What do you guys think?

Hi, guys, it was on the news that the Company of Heroes 2 is coming out earlier next year with the Soviet already in the game. So what are Eastern-front team's plans for modding that COH2? I just want to suggest that can you please consider mod far eastern front that feature China VS Japan. China has contributed a lot in WW2. If you consider to do so, let me know and I will support it anyway I can. I can probably sponsor a few hundred dollars to 2000 dollars a year depend on my financial situation. Also, I was thinking, if the COH2 still has the doctrine choice for players as they did in COH. We can create 3 doctrines: Chinese Red Army, Chinese National Army and Chinese Patriot Warlords.

Hi guys. I don't know how to make map. But is there anyone can make us use the Soviet to play Operation: Panzerkrieg? There's a challenge map but we cannot play with a friend since it is an 1 VS 1 map. If anyone can let us use the Soviet to play Operation: Panzerkrieg, please do it. Please! Please! Please! Please! 1: You can see from that picture, it often appear in the game, Almost everytime. 2: And I often got kick out of the game. 3: The game will go dead if we play "Operations" in the Eastern front mod. 4: Last time I asked Eastern front developer guys about the performance issue, about the launcher is a middle man program, so it will use more resources, I ask developer guys if there is a way to cut off the middle man, in the end, developer guy made the shortcut afterwards. Thanks guys  So I have another question: Shortcut does indeed boost the eastern front performance, but its still lower than the normal game, so is there a way to make the eastern front completely blind into the game and we no longer need shortcut, and can just play it like a normal game. Ever since I got Eastern front mod, I never played normal game anyway. And this way, we may even add another mod on top of the eastern front.

Hi guys. I just found out from the moddb.com that you guys have made buildings for German eastern army, and and Soviet is the only one which does not have its own building design. However I have a few idea what Soviet building may look like, but since I don't really know how to use 3D Max, do I'll try to draw it and scan it and then upload them here later. Also, I don't know if anyone else feel the same way, it just seems that Soviet faction is not that "unique" compare to other factions, it just like a combination of US and German. I was think maybe sometime we all group together and have a brainstorm and try to find some ideas. And I have one more suggestion is about the Tank hunters, may I suggest that to increase the range of the AT-rifle a bit. The reasons behind it are: 1: In real life, Soviet AT-rifle can penetrate about 25mm steel at the range of 500m. That means its effect range is over twice of an AT RPG. 2: Soviet AT-rifle man requires to lie-down one the ground to fire, and every time when they do that, the tank will just back off a little, and the AT-rifle man will have to get up and run closer and lie-down again, and everytime that happens, the tank will just keep backing off. This is so annoying.

hi guys As you can see from the photo, they are kind of acting weird, plus I just found out that for some reason, when they use the SVT-40, they still cock the gun as if it is a bolt action rifle, but SVT-40 is a semi-automatic rifle, and that means there is a bug in the animation.
And for the 3rd photo: See what do I get for reinforcemence?? A banner carrier :S

Hi, guys. About the SU-76, it is so vulnerable, yet it cost us 4 points. Since it was meant to replace the US lendlease Sherman. So I was thinking, how about a Russian Tank instead. A T-44. I know I mentioned this before. But I found this picture and have nowhere to post. So I had to put a new topic here. Sorry for the inconvenience.  This is the T-44 with 100mm gun Enjoy  This Tank have no driver gun, unlike the T-34, but it does have a co-axi gun and another gun on top of the turret like the US Sherman.

Hey guys!!! Thank you guys so much for actually used most of my suggestions in the v1.4. You guys are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS-3!!! Various new models!! And the tactics choices are so fair that is almost like been done by professionals.  !!!! But also I have a few other suggestions that I hope I can discuss with everyone one as well. 1: the Soviet Infantry is too weak. I don't mean their weapon or skills are weak. I mean their body is the weakest for some reason. I have been testing for weeks and now I am sure of it. You see, when I play as the US, once I had a rifle men team which is exposed, uncovered outside. And one motar shell landed right in the middle of my team, on top of one of the man. And the team were injured about 20% health decrease. Also, once there one big building in the middle of a strategic route. So I send some US soldiers to go into that building. I had one rifle men team upgraded with BAR and happened to picked up a German AT Rocket launcher; a machine gun team, a sniper. 10 men hold off that building from the beginning to the end of the game. German attacked it wave as wave with infantry, stug and armored cars. Average it took at least 3 panzer shells to kill one US soldier inside a building. So I tried the same way using the Soviet. I put one marine team (fully upgraded), one sniper team and one upgraded AT team, 12 men were holding that build, not to mention I had a motar team right next that build to support them. Guess what happen, one German motar shell landed on the top of the building and 3 of my men dead. That build was in 95% health so were my men. I am no racist. I had Russian friends as well. It hurts my neck everytime when I talk to them (I am 180cm tall). Their body are like bear. So I suggest that Soviet troopers should at least as strong as the other armys. 2: About the Infantry weapon of Soviet. The variety of Soviet infantry is unnessary sometimes. Look at the Red banner trooper and the Guards. Those 2 are generally the same. But Guards have a lot of tricky weapons. And that made Red Banner troopers unnessary. Also Soviet infantry team has to many man, which can be hard to manage, specially when you trying to garrison the building. German has a big variety of infantry. But all of their infantry have a few men which is easy to manage, plus all of them are all purpose, multi-role, expect they deal with things in different way with different capacity, and that made them interesting. But the Soviet infantry does not have those. So all of the things I said above have made Soviet infantry facing serious issues in combat. If a building is too small, a team can't even garrison. And since they are weak, they would be unnessary in the later stage of the game. Because they are too weak, so people wouldn't bother to train them to do combine them with tanks in the later stage of the game. All we have to do is to have a formation of tank, cheaper, more effective and easier to manage. Plus German base are all of machine guns, on every build. Sending infantry in is unhuman. So my suggestions are: 1: All Soviet infantry team (support team excluded) has only 6 man. The red banners can be upgraded at lease with the molotov cocktail. And the instead of choosing between PPsh and DP, we can make it into one "atomatic weapon upgrade", which give 2 men PPsh and 1 men DP. Guards: 6 men. 1 man (team leader we can probably use the earlier model --- you know, the guy with the communist symbo on his arm) with PPs-43 and 1 man with DP, the rest of the men use rifles. Same goes with marine, team leader with PPs-43. We can put a communist symbo on him just to make it looks cool. Also, I think we should change the their cocktail to hand grenade. Because think about it, a bunch of marine go amphibious assault with home made cocktails. 3: About the conscripts, I have a very innovational idea. Just hear me out. Since we can't upgrade them anymore. They seems too expensive for the things they do. So I have an idea, instead of pick up the gun others drop, they atomaticly get the weapon of whoever they kill. If they kill a officer, one of the guy gets a Luger, if they kill a engineer, one of them gets a MP-40. That would make the game much more interesting What do you guys think. About the SU-76, it is too weakly armored, and it cost us 4 points to get it. And we have SU-85, how can SU-85 not as good as SU-76? I know it replace the lend lease Sherman. So may I suggest that we change it into the limited producted T-44. That would be so cool. Talking about Tank, there is a issue. The drive gun of T-34 never fires for some reason. (That's not fair, US sherman's driver gun fires) And KV tank has no co-axi gun, but it fires out of nowhere. Also the rear torret gun of IS-2 never fires as well. Yeah, those are my suggestions, wish them can be considered. And open to debat.  Thanks a lot

Hi, guy. I really didn't mean to bother you. But I have just find out a problem when I play this mod. It have been really slow. I didn't know why at the time since what I have is a GXT460 with 1GB mermory. I have set everything to minimum. But it is still slow. So today I tried to run the game without using the easten front launch. It went really smooth even I have set everything to maximum. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Plus: I have a theory. It might be that the launch is a middle bridging progrem that take more out of my CPU, so I hope if anyone can tell me how to put all of the easten front file into the origenal game file so I can cut out the middle progrem. That way I might be able to run it smoothly. But it just my theory.
