Well in case you havent seen it on GR.com its a long time myth that if you spend your CP's before you accumulate 3, they are gained faster. so spend your CPs when you get to 3, so your meter can reset and get the bonus just dont be premature and force yourself into picking the wrong doctrine going from 0 to 1 CP and 1 to 2 CP is actually gained faster than not choosing doctrines and floating 3+ CPs. who knew floating 3+ CPs made you gain slower so no more floating 8CP into late game and playing doctrineless! by not floating mass amounts of CPs you can actually get a calliope 15% faster, amongst others! that can be gamechanging to say the least check it out comrades! http://www.gamereplays.org/companyofheroes/portals.php?show=page&name=company-of-heroes-coh-myths-revealed-1

I'm looking for some more good strategy games like COH, im dying to find a really good cold war game that plays like COH, id kill for a COH cold war mod even. who better to ask than the EF crew
i've played everything really from C&C red alert, to total war series to warcraft/starcraft basically all strategy games.
i recently installed and tried men of war: assault squad for the first time, its good but it lacks that endless replay value that COH has IMO and I feel as though the units arent unique enough, it seems like everything is a copy and paste of another factions, too cookie cutter for me and not fluid enough its like a battle of one ups.
are there any other games out there of the calibre of coh and mow, it can be realism or arcade I dont care anyone have any suggestions and ideas?

So I've had this idea since the days of old, Its not going to happen in vcoh anymore now that the final patch has been released.
Im aware of the stance on changing vanilla factions but I think we should make an exception in this case, IMO its a necesary change.
My proposal is to lower PG reinforce cost to ~41mp each I think PE's shortcomings in the balance department have always stemmed from the huge reinforce cost
thoughts?
I'd like to know if its possible to have a units reinforce cost change according to vet or upgrades? because if so we could lower their reinforce cost initially and have it raised eventually back to their current 45Mp each if they attain a certain level of vet and/or upgrades (ie. zeal)

Ok so I hope everyone knows the new changes to strelky in general and more importantly RBS and their various weapon upgrades.
What does everyone think of the new 1.4 strelky? Do you even bother with PPSH anymore since its more expensive? Do you like the new DP-28's and their new ability?
I thought the RBS change would be the most controversial of the patch, I wont hide I was adamantly opposed to it. Personally I dont even bother with the RBS upgrade anymore its been completely removed from my strategy, just too expensive at 100muni AND 70 fuel now. Whats your views comrades?

wow, good game. close game It was the ruthless panzer elite pressing the attack against the mighty Red army! The germans seized the initiative in true blitzkrieg fashion, but did the resilient Red Army falter? Or did they crush the fascist invaders? AC in under 5

Is this finally being removed in the next patch release?
I've always thought that the hard cap was a bit comical, to say the least.
I've only heard noobs and trolls complain about call-in spam, so it reflects badly on the mod, if for no other reason.

Yeah IIRC its 50 fuel and 100 munitions
It adds one squad member with ppsh and slow ability No one uses it because its underpowered and overpriced. kinda like su-100(if I can make that relation because I know its being removed)
A price reduction is required. Opinions?

Few questions, I believe I have a basic understanding of these settings you can modify yourself. But I want to be sure so my game is running as optimised as possible
CPU Count- What is this? does this refer to dual core or single core? I have a dual core processor and have it set to "1 or 2" just to be safe
Process Priority- I have this set to high, even though not sure what it does? I want EF to be my PC's #1 priority so should I have it at high?
Triple Buffer- no clue what this is so I left it unchecked
Vertical Sync- Again, no idea what this is?

Ok, so as some of have heard already and almost had a heart attack too. The SU-100 is being removed. While the upgrade itself was grossly overpriced, I myself dont agree witht the removal just a price decrease maybe. Anyway whats done is done and we're moving on. My concern is that since the SU-100 has been removed our beloved SU-85 will suffer late game to axis bully tanks. And I'm hoping the SU-85's stats will be adjusted to reflect the void that has been left by the removal of SU-100 Discuss Comrades while we await an official response

With God of War being fixed I think the doctrine will see a increase in usage after the patch.
However my main point involves the Red Tide ability. Its a great ability that fits the soviets perfectly. It replaces lost infantry squads.
My point im trying to make is I think the Red Tide ability comes too late. Your going to pick right side first for katyusha and GoW leaving left side an afterthought. Which by the time you acquire Red Tide the infantry charge has really lost its punch. It would be great if it came a few CP's earlier when a mass charge to obtain map control could really make the difference in dislodging stubborn axis gun lines
I would like to see it obtained easier maybe lowering CPs? However Im not sure the best way to keep it balanced while still making it useful.
Comrades I ask your thoughts on this matter anyone else agree that this ability comes a bit late for what it does, decreasing its effectiveness/efficiency? And what do you think can be done to buff this under used ability.
keep in mind Im talking about 1v1 auto settings because in team games balance is generally skewed anyway

I was hesitant to suggest the addition of any reward unit, I generally trust the devs in this area
But upon further research I learned that there is quite a bit of support on the forums here for the addition of an IS-3 as reward. I think it could replace the ISU-152 theres currently no heavy turreted call ins for soviet, This unit would be great to deal with the abundance of heavy axis armor especially with the new ostheer coming. And as I look over all the suggestions for soviet reward units theres really not a need or a role for the majority of them. the IS-3 is different and would be great
and it mirrors the american pershing as a very unique and relic-esque unit.
So what say you powers to be?
