Hi guys, Long time no see. I dropped out of the EF project when I realized my way of approaching the game was counterproductive to the direction the Mod team was going. I am crazy. of course you all knew that anyway. But I am clinically crazy and sometimes to strange things. Sorry If I confused or hurt any feelings. I am mostly involved with music and storytelling now. I Started doing some stuff on UTube this week. I'll post some links. If you want to see what I'm doing put "Tommy Coughlin" in the Search terms. Although I have pretty much dropped out of gaming I have had some interesting encounters: I was in contact with Otto Carius Last June. It was his 90-something birthday. I have been camping with a fellow named Ed Wittmann for about 25 years. Last May he told me about his granpa. He was a Nazi, (sorry I know the rules), This particular Nazi was Michael Wittmann. Ed was amazed I knew all about him. Later in the summer Ed showed me his dagger. Yep SS 1936 pattern! I've been translating some Russian Folk Songs too. - That was inspired by EF. I should have a video of Katyusha out next year. I hope the Sovs have good Katyushas now. I made this vid for this little girl. She is severely handicapped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTYf2bGumh8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=s1QUqFXAViQ Happy Christmas all, Prosperous and Healthy New Year All.
I usually wish every body gets a can of wirled peas in their stockings, In this case I think I'll say "Keep on Blitzen" Tommy Coughlin aka Otto Halfhand aka IamNoMAn aka MR SPAM

@132: Did you get close enough to throw a molotov at the Falls?

I think Dann may be overstating the case somewhat. Perhaps the stun effect could be ameliorated somewhat but I would like to see an upgrade to a 12.7 mm AA MG to ward of air attacks.

Naa, alcohol isn't bad. Its the folks that abuse it on a regular basis that are the problem.
Buuro looks pretty good for someone who been celebrating Hogmany for a couple of hours. He hasn't even opened up the uisgebauugh, (water of life), yet. Happy and prosperous New Year to all!

To clarify this situation somewhat, (I Hope ). In v1.7.10 the zis5 doesn't unlock like it used to. The abilities cease to function but it doesn't unlock-down as it used to IIRC. You have to manually unlock it then drive to a zone in communications or re-lockdown once you have re-established a line of communications. Whether this is a bug or not I have no idea. It otherwise seems to work fine. I just consider it as one more thing I have to keep track of.

On your desert maps, if you could generate rooster tails for vehicles when they are churning the sand/dust that would be cool.
At present an effect is generated that creates a large spherical, (hemisherical?), dust cloud when there is an explosion around a vehicle. Obscures everything. If this effect can be made directional we could probably get a roostertail.

I noticed something odd. Sometimes the Soviet Firebase requires a T2 and T3 upgrade to unlock, Sometimes only a T2 uprgade makes it available.

You'all did a great job with the winterization project. Here is a complimentary concept that might work. Introduce mud into the mapping equation. I am thinking of something along the lines of how the frozen river on Zytomir map works. Slowed movement, penalties on cover and or combat. IIRC the old Smolensk Map, (Psel), had a rising water level in the pond containing the central VP now. This might be a false memory on my part but it would be cool if possible.
I don't know if any of this would work; but it would be a unique sort of feature for the Mod.

It shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. AFAIK supression is cumulative. Suppression removal works at a constant rate. When the suppression threshold no longer is met the effects go away. Change the rate of suppression removal and you have the desired effect without removing the possibility of further suppression. Pinning I think may work similarly except that there is a minimum timer on the effect.

Well, Inspired speech will give you a 5 second sprint with your tank riders.

It sounds like you want to grant FTML suppression reduction to infantry advancing behind tanks. You can do this with the Urban CT_doctrine. If I understand correctly a BT ability would energize an aura around tanks that reduces the suppression rate, (or more probably increases the suppression recovery rate to infantry within the radius of effect). This would work better with slower tanks since the infantry still needs to keep up. A fire-up/sprint might work in this regard. Sounds a little OP but I like the idea.

I don't think it works that way Bacon. AFAIK Tank Riders are in worse cover, Negative_Roadway_cover I believe,. They should receive increased accuracy from firing from a stationary position even if the tank is moving as well. There may be other plusses and minuses, IDK. I believe the idea was to ride beyond the enemy line and disembark. That is why Engeneri and Stormovie were excluded, so they couldn't roll over bunkers. When I have tried this type of tactic the tank riders usually get killed on vehicles first. Nice work on the different maps.

Have you tried a Flak 88? And when manning Flak how is his performance. KCHs improve the performance of most weapons systems do they not?
