How to unlock the soviets.

Hi.
I'm playing Company of Heroes in German.
I installed the Eastern Front, but can't play with the Soviets.
I heard that you need the lastest patch, in order to do it.
So I tried to install the lastest patch, but as I open the file it says I can't not use this file, because I already have 2.00 patch set up. This is what I don't understand. If the lastest patch is 2.601 why would it be matter to have 2.00 version.
When I launch the orginal Company of Heroes, it says I need to undate the programme. I click install the new patch, then It says I'm leaving the programme to install the downloaded patch.
But that's it. Nothing appears.
I don't know what to do.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

If you already bought any version of CoH, you shall avoid using cracks, winners don't use drugs . Reinstall and update CoH and later EF... Lately there are a lot of people with this "bug"... you should use the search box more often...

From the FAQ:

Q. Why are the Soviets locked?
A. This is caused by using an unsupported patch (a patch before 2.601). Please update to the latest patch (2.601) for custom faction support.

And like blackbishop said, make sure you're using a legal copy of CoH.

I just heard very random mission impossible music go through my head..........(<.<)    (>.>)         
But yeah using search often saves people time ( like the person who is making the query , and people who have to answer said query)
