I hear kvetching regarding the high cost of infantry squad weapons upgrades.
1. The cost of LMGs, improved rifles and, SMGs AT weapons for individual squad upgrades for all factions should be more consistent if not identical (2 Gr43: 50muni, 4 SVT40: 80-100muni(?)). I think the Naval infantry heavy weapons pack should be broken down into two independent upgrades.
Soviet Armory upgrades:
2. The global Soviet upgrades need a harder look regarding internal and external balance. Internal balance for the Soviet faction seems to be missing entirely vis a vis Strelky and Guards. I think the Strelky upgrade cost is too high and the Guards a little low. The RBS actually lose a fighter and the Shock guards gain a LMG man but Strelky upgrade costs more?
3. The Storm Ingenery, mortar and Zis upgrades cost is a little low for global upgrades relative to other factions. The muni cost is OK but I think a slightly higher petrol cost is in order. The antitank squads and tank gun upgrades seem just about right.
4. THE PETROL BOMB UPGRADE IS TOO CHEAP! This global should have an equivalent cost to the PE (who also have to pay for use), incendiary grenade cost. I don't think the ability itself is unbalanced, (maybe tweak the incidence of critical engine hits a tiny bit?). I don't think a use cost is necessary for the Soviets.
5. Presently the 120mm mortar upgrade does not work well. I know it will get fixed. The balancing crew feel that a properly operating 120 mm would deal too much damage too early in the game. I agree but rather than nerf the mortar why not add the prerequisite of a tank hall upgrade to get this upgrade?
