Simply put, how about adding Romania?

No, Romania didn't have small part in Eastern Front, they had BIG time army. So basicly in '44, they contribute huge number of troops (second largest if you don't count Japan) and they had intresting equipment (Italian,Russian,German,French...). And did I tell you that they switched sides in '44?

So here's my concept how this would work:

Doctrines:

Doctrines would be diffrent. Instead of having 3, they got only 2. This is countered by this idea: They can be both Allies AND Axis. This basicly means that tech trees are changed by the side Romanians are.

Gameplay:

Romanians are more defensive on Axis side and in Allies they are more aggressive. But in both cases they are very infantry focussed. And they got HUGE number of guns whic support them. Tanks are on the intresting side as these we're obsolete by most standards. They had Stugs (TA) and Pz4 (T-4) but the main tanks we're Pz35t (R-2) and R-35. Romanians upgraded almost all R-35 to have 45mm gun so they would battle armour easier (lot easier). They all so had couple of tank hunters of they're own: TACAM T-60 and TACAM R-2 whic both we're intresting but the combat effectiness was about the same.

Look:

What you think?

P.S.

And no. I wouldn't recommend adding Maresal is just stupid as it didn't even see fighting.

We have a foreign unit doctrine tree, so maybe romanians will be there.

I know but as they are being "Hys Hys" about it.

But, wouldn't you rather kick ass with 2-man tanks with ridiculous slowness?

You mean like with the H35/38 French_Letter_Opener in PE. Nah I'd rather have a Czech 38t. I hope the Roumanians make it into the game at least for campaign purposes. Remember Stalingrad.

I have some small understanding of how the Doctrines are programmed and coded. I don't think your concept can be coded properly. This is regardless of how the DevTeam views the concept. It would be cool if all the Roumanians on map surrendered, AKA MarketGarden. It would be Awesome if they Turned their Coats and attacked Ostheer on the spot.

I think that in the Campaign this stuff would be cool, but as a multiplayer faction no. The point of tanks is not to be destroyed from a heavy MG.
The Russians think there sooo tough, wait till the Ostheer comes...

We alreay have a selection of foreign units that will be featured for the Support Army Troops Command Tree, so we don't need any new ideas about it ;). Also, it seems than the suggestion of our comrade is to make a new faction for the romanians, which ain't going to happen so better to lock this.

One more thing, this won't fit on campaign either, because the campaigns are focused on the Red Army and the Ostheer, not on their allies.
