Did, also double checked (i run on steam + windows 7) and made sure its going to my (x86) directory and the steam/blah blah blah etc. Did that for both the exe itself and the updates (they each needed to be selected individualy)

i have a feeling it may have something to do with the 64 bit OS and steam together, rather then either of them seperately as there have been alot of bugs revolving around one of the two, i figure they are both involved. lol. Hope you can figure out an answer.

Your comments made me uninstall my dvd version and reinstall my steam backup... It works as fine as the retail version, i have Windows 7 "x64" and works perfectly.

Please check again in Settings that "CoH Directory" be:
a)By Default on x86
C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes - DVD version
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes - Steam version
b)By Default on x86 64
C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes - DVD version
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes - Steam version
c)In another directory of your choice

Remember that when installing EF will be asked to choice your path, and gives you by default one. If you change it, remember to change it on the launcher because it doesn't save any other path than default. I attach a couple of pictures of my files.

When my path wasn't correct, I got a "Eastern Front is up to date", and when my CoH installation was corrupted I got a "RelicCOH.exe not found" or something like that. On the first case just change the directory to the correct one in Settings, with the second, just reinstall and update CoH and EF.

Could you post the path that the launcher has(in settings) and a screenshot of that directory?

If there's no path on Settings, you should click on Select->Browse until you find the path and select it; it shouldn't take a lot of time you already know it.

Do you really have installed CoH? Could you upload a screenshot of your CoH path?

Do you have retail or steam version? Do you partially uninstalled CoH?

could you upload the same screenshot but in list view instead of details?

By the way where you install CoH it'll be installed EF you don't need to move anything. The installer does all the work in both cases(except if you choose another location for CoH you need to select it when installing and before playing the first time).

hi;

first of all i bought it from a store,
secondly no i didnt uninstalled it yet 'cause uninstalling and installing it again takes ages,
third yes i can and here it is
fourth i didnt moved anything, but i ve downloaded the mod around 4 times and installed and uninstalled around 50 times everytime i ve tried something that could help, such as installing it to somewhere else under coh, and sometimes installer suggested to install it to different place
sixth i thought that it may be because i need expansion or something like that so i bought opposing fronts - no results
seventh better yet i bought one more coh cd (game of year version this time, big patch not included, took ages to download that one)for my lil bro, and EF didnt work on that one TOO
eight im totally at patch 2601 so thats not the problem
ninth can you tell me exactly how does it checks the directory?? cause im also a developer and it might, just maybe because of a registry problem, about products shipped to this corner of the world?

at last tenth thank you whole heartedly for trying to help
mr. bishop
