WW2 Historian
« on: July 31, 2010, 02:40:29 AM »
Hello everybody!

I've recently read some works (well, some lines lol) about WW2 and the eastern front, written by an historian named ''Paul Carell''. Since I dont have a lot of time to spend on internet and to make deeper and appropriate research about him, can anyone give me some basic information, hopefully some links. It would be very useful for me, because I'm interested by that kind of work about the eastern front, and I always want to know if the writer is reliable or not, and why/why not.

Thanks!  :)

Well. U dont need so much information about Paul Carell.
Paul Carell is a nationalsocialist till today.
Its sounds hard but when u read his testes u will find soldier"romantic" and "hero stories" from the first line till
the last line.
It is quiet difficult to get useful informations out of his
books!
So out of my view u show read this author with background information.
May the force be with you.

Thanks for your quick and accurate answer!  :)

I am looking for some of his books, at least to have a german point of view for the eastern front (I've read mainly american and british books about this -though they are inspired by german information).

Cheers!!
