Hi, guy. I really didn't mean to bother you. But I have just find out a problem when I play this mod. It have been really slow. I didn't know why at the time since what I have is a GXT460 with 1GB mermory. I have set everything to minimum. But it is still slow. So today I tried to run the game without using the easten front launch. It went really smooth even I have set everything to maximum. Does anyone know why this is happening?


Plus: I have a theory. It might be that the launch is a middle bridging progrem that take more out of my CPU, so I hope if anyone can tell me how to put all of the easten front file into the origenal game file so I can cut out the middle progrem. That way I might be able to run it smoothly. But it just my theory.

Explanation to the change in performance, you have observed, is quite simple: EF "eats up" a lot more PC resources, than the original game.
So, AFAIK, there's no way of playing EF without those constraints it brings onto your PC.

Ok, you can go to Launcher Settings and select exit/quit as "action to do after clicking play" (don't remember the real name).

or you can create a new shorcut(right click on desktop->new->shorcut)

then use this as target:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

remember to change the directory to your current CoH directory.

You are absolutely right. I tried your first suggest. But no difference it have made. But as soon as I create the new shortcut, the game rocks. I can now run the game at maximun effect with high resolution. You are a legend Mr. Much appreciated for you help. I am sure that one day people will sing some songs about you.

Hi guys!!! I'm new here. For first i want to congratulate you for this great mod!!

I would like to try the same ting that blacjbishop has comented, but i cant understand what does "...  -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies" means. Could somenone explain me please??

-dev: Developer mode. Enables the loading of sgb-maps (no-archive-file) from the folder "C:\Users\***\My Games\Company of Heroes\WW2\Data\Scenarios\MP

-mod Eastern_Front: loads the Eastern_Front.module file for launching EF mod

-nomovies: order to skip intro movies (Relic, nVidia, THQ)
