True, but i couldn't see any real difference between the rifles in-game (As well as the MP40 & MP44. Seriously, what's the difference?), so i wasn't sure how different they really are. Plus, i am no historian, nor gun expert, nor historical gun expert, so i can't compare them to their real-life models.

Will be just a visual change . We don't modify vanilla values.

umm... there was a post earlier about how german (Wehr) units only gain vet from support vet upgrades right? I don't think so, sometimes my units get promoted through kills just like Pariah said...

No, they don't. Wehr units only get vet from the vet upgrades in the KKC. Sometimes it can glitch and they actually get 1 vet higher than they're supposed to but it is still not gained through kills.

You are right about the G43s. I was basing it off this picture where the gun on the left is clearly a G43 but has no scope. I realise this picture is from a mod thus the SS insignias. I don't really zoom in during a game ever.

Yeah, i can easily delete parts of models, too. I use Paint.

Deleting part of the skin doesn't work.  The scope's outline will still show even it you alpha it out.  It was the same thing with the shield-less flak88 skin from georider until the new model from Eliwood / Dmz came out.

The scope-less G43 was made by Loran Korn (or tankdestroyer?) I believe, but the webpage that hosted the download is now extinct.  I don't think he hosted his G43 model in the Relic ammo box either, however I believe Spaulick hosted his HD G43 skin with the scope-less mod.  I'm not sure if its just an alphaed out version of the skin though.

Also, another correction to the OP.  Soviet sniper teams can camo when out of cover too; they just need to stand still.

gys why so much of an argument about scoped or not gewehrs????I have just wrote an article about sniper tipps not pe snipers.Plus i see no point that panzer elite should have snipers added to their army cuz you know they are adept at working well will vechicles not with snipers....

I confirm the head-shot thing with the motorbike in the campaign. When scouting around with my snipe, I saw a bike chasing after me. He was vet 3 with 70 or 80 kills, and automatically killed the bike somehow. I have no idea if this applies to multiplayer, but it is real.

And it shouldn't apply to skirmish/multiplayer. Those light vehicles are supposed to be a counter to Snipers (and other weapons teams), even if they are at max vet. Damage variables are quite different in the campaign.

Also, Wehrmacht units never gain vet through combat (in skirmish/multiplayer, at least). Use the Kampfkraft Centre to purchase vet for your units. The only units it doesn't work on are the Königstiger and Goliath.
