T-44
« on: July 13, 2011, 09:18:35 AM »
Hi, guys. About the SU-76, it is so vulnerable, yet it cost us 4 points. Since it was meant to replace the US lendlease Sherman. So I was thinking, how about a Russian Tank instead. A T-44. I know I mentioned this before. But I found this picture and have nowhere to post. So I had to put a new topic here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is the T-44 with 100mm gun
Enjoy  ;)

This Tank have no driver gun, unlike the T-34, but it does have a co-axi gun and another gun on top of the turret like the US Sherman.

T-44 existed, some of 1800 produced took part in WWII on european front.
I rather would ask: why? SU-76 is great, and I don't want to replace it. And there was about 12000 produced, so it was much more common.

I agree with RedG on this one. T-44 was an interim solution to future Sov tank design. Soviet Tankovy is pretty solid. Hopefully the SU76 will improve once The Scaling issues are overcome. The open turret AT guns models in CoH are toooo big. SU76 was one of the most produced AFVs in the Soviet Arsenal.

I know, it is a limited production. That is why I suggested. Because the players are not allowed to produce it, but only to spend points and call for one. Think about it this way, the players can produce the SU-85, it doesn't really make sense a SU-76 is more rare and more powerful than the SU-85 that we can produce ourselves

т44 во время войны прошел фронтавые испытания, но на фронте их было всего 10
до конца войны произвели 950 штук.
p.s картинка вверху т44-100 послевоенный вариант год 1947

Typical scenario:
After 5-10 min search on the web...
ahhhhh....that looks like cool tank...lets make a thread in EF and get them to put in game for me and see how that would look. If it don't look good and I find another one 2 days later, I'll make another thread and get them to put that in game...I'm awesome!i bet nobody thought this before!

Typical response:
Hell NO!

Typical result:
Never going to happen.

Typical reason:
We're not going to make a random model just cause you found a 'pretty pic' on the web and just wonder how it would look in COH.

Cheers!
