Flame wars engender hate and dissension and as such should be squelched ASAP.

OT: The repeated badge given to Pariah looks wierd to say the least. I THink Modifying the badge to a Gold Bar with Oakleaves or Diamonds as was suggested, And changing the Title to "PATRONA LUDI" might be a more appropriate acknowledgment of the contribution of folks like pariah.

I have no idea what "PATRONA LUDI" means, but it's really not necessary. Hell, even the simple "Donor" badge is quite unnecessary! ;)

I totally agree that you should stop these "flame wars" before they even start; They're only going to cause more tension between forum members, and they reflect poorly on the community, and especially the moderators. ;)

Flame wars are easily fought because the people who fight them are safe behind their screens, noone sees their faces. Even a little boy can easily claim to be 30 or so and have a lot more life experience. It's so easy to flame via internet, you're anonymous and nobody can come too close. There's always a way out.
The internet provides room to discuss for everyone, even political extrem people and fanatics, we've seen it also around here. That's why the forum police, moderators, are so important.

Patrona Ludi is a polyglot of Latin and German. It means Patron of the Game.

Oh, that's cool. What's the reason behind the polyglot? Did you come up with that yourself?

Yes and no. Artists, playwrights and poets in Ancient Rome needed patrons to allow them the freedom to produce their art without having to put bread on the Table. Herman Hesse wrote a novel Magister Ludi - The Game Master(s). I just put the two concepts together.

Sturmovik was the most 'red' of all those guys. Hell, he even proposed to redone entire Russian faction to fit his idea  ::)

There's nothing bad about being 'red'. It's just the way how some of them acted here. Taking things too serious.
I mean there's also the possibility of Axis fanboys acting and flaming like that.
