Coldplay is one of those exception I meant. Their lyrics and songs in general are great.

Yeah but IMO only a few of their songs are appealing music wise. The lyrics are meaningfull but the sound of it isn't :P.

I like Coldplay, but like some people mention its kinda whiny bullcrap,
the recent concert where they showcased a couple of new album songs I liked, but stuff like Viva la Vida becomes annoying cause people keep playing it nonstop.
