A Childhood Dream
« on: May 19, 2012, 04:35:35 AM »
Back when I first got started PC gaming (at 5 years old), I fondly recalled playing Age of Empires, and then Age of Empires II and III. But then Ensemble was dismantled to my (and I hope many other people's) horror after finishing Halo Wars (which to be fair was a rip of Tom Clancey's Endwar). SO I recently stumbled upon this lovely picture of what they were planning to do. It was included in their original AOE Box Set as a plan for the future, what was known as the Age of Empires Project. I hope this gives you guys the same nostalgia it gave me.

Yeah the art for it looks quite nice. It's my dream that one day Robot Entertainment or one of the numerous other Ensemble successors will collaborate to make AoE IV. I even had an idea on how the system for gathering and fighting would work (since they don't often occur in the same area in more modern combat.
