Red Banners

Hey guys. I just had a quick 1v1 and say something strange that caught my eye.

When Strelky have been upgraded to Red Banners, and then have a weapon upgrade, they are given an inherent ability. However, while I was under the impression that if the banner-bearer is killed the ability is temporarily lost, on two occasions I also lost the ability when the squad dropped to four members, regardless of the fact that the flag-bearer was still alive.

On reflection, I can understand this, as there are fewer weapons in the squad to make the ability a possibility, but I just wanted to check if this was in fact a bug.

If so, I will attempt to replicate the situation and grab a screenshot.

That's intended. If the flag bearer is not alive, the ability cannot be used.

You misunderstand!

In these cases, the flag bearer was still alive, but the squad itself was down to four members, each time.

Is that because there are less weapons?

Either way, in both cases, the flag bearer was still moving!

Yeah, I phrased it wrong.

When the squad leader is alive the abilities are kept. You will recognize the squad leader because it has a different appereance than the others. If it doesn't have the flag it just means the guy with the flag died and the squad leader is alive but there is no one left with free slots to get it.

EDIT:
Btw, when the leader dies the flag is gone. When the bearer dies and the squad doesn't have enough slots available per soldiers the flag is hidden, it is not gone because it is there, but you can see it.

The leader of both strelky and guard is the guy with furhat and have backpack behind him, if I'm not wrong.
And btw, there are threads about balance or issues in 1.7 patch. Should we create specific thread for that like previous patches?
