Installation:
This is the direct download link for a Trial Version [2.] of SensorsViewPro™ 4.1 (http://www.stvsoft.com/download.php?file=SensorsViewPro41Setup.exe). Click on the link and ‘Save’ it to your Desktop.
Before you install the program, Right click on the icon and scan it with your anti-virus program.

The file used for the ‘Alarm’ in this instance is: “C:\WINDOWS\Media\WindowsXPCriticalStop.wav”; however, any ".wav" file may be used; this is entirely up to the user’s individual preference.

Conclusion:
The majority of the settings used in this example are the default settings of the program, which are quite adequate for the general computer user and therefore, they do not really need changing.
However, should you decide to change them, do so at your own risk. It is recommended that you create a Restore Point before any adjustments are made, with this or any other program.

I go to start COH EF, the game checks for updates ok, but when I go to play the game it just says that the game is up to date and does not start at all.Go to the EF Launcher->Settings->CoH Directory->Select the correct path. Do you have Steam CoH?

I had a 5 man ZiS AT that was destroyed leaving a single crew member behind. I moved the guy back to try and reinforce and could, to a cap of 3. Then I proceeded to try and re-crew one of my own crew-less mortars with the now useless AT team and the game locked up. The map was Moscow and I was facing Wehrmacht.The bug is that you are playing with an old version of EF(1.1X). I suggest to update from the launcher or download the last version from ModDB (http://www.moddb.com/mods/coheastern-front).
Also the gunless crewmembers could not enter buildings of any kind.

I downloaded the eastern front mod, installed it.
My CoH was Installed, all add- ons and updated to the newest version.
I updated the mod to the newest version at my friends house, then i went back home.
When I try now to start the game, it seems to search for updates, but then it crashes.
Error report: Eastern front mod stopped working, close program.

I'm having some trouble with the Stalingrad map. It's the only map which has this problem, but it happens absolutely every time I try to start a skirmish on the map. Basically what happens is that at about 3/4 of the loading the game freezes, and I get an error about there not being enough storage space available to create a crash report. I have plenty of space, and my memory works just fine on larger maps.
Soviets, Wehrmacht and Panzer Elite were the involved factions.
Obviously there's no error log I can supply, as it is not saved anywhere when this problem occurs.
Edit: Damn! Just happened with Zhytomyr as well. I really wanted to play that map.

Done! It removed the crash, but now the game doesn't initiate the map, it simply returns to the main menu after the point where it previously crashed.
Edit: Kharkov just had the crash as well :(
I have Windows XP Media Centre 32 bit and 3 GB of RAM.
I have a Nvidia GT9600 GT 512 mb, which should be enough hopefully.With radical solution meant having more than 4gb of ram and 64 bits OS :). Because 32 bits OS just handle up to 4gb, nothing more. So if you have 20GB of ram and a 32 bits OS(XP/Vista/7) it just will recognize 4GB.
I'm not getting a new computer quite yet, as I'm busy with some other economically heavy things right now. Maybe another GB of ram could be a good idea though, as it's not the most expensive piece of hardware out there.

Try lowering your video settings from ultra to high or high to medium.

Yes, the crash happens almost every game.
My CoH was patched with every individual patch from 1.0-2.601. After that i ran it then closed it. Then installed Eastern front and patched it. I don't know how i keep crashing.

So far as I can tell, there doesn't seem to be any specific thing that triggers the crash, and sometimes it will crash when I'm not actually doing anything.
I have 3 warning logs, and dunno which one you need so I shall attach all 3. However, I can't seem to find a single .dmp file anywhere on my computer. Any help?

I was playing as the Germans and I was ready to get my 3 panther tanks across the bridge and that's when it happened. I've noticed that the game crashes once the tanks and heavy artillery start getting built.

I've a problem with playing on the Vire River Valley. One Wehrmacht vs a soviet and american AI. The game always locks up on when I do this. The screen will shake as if the images of the game were something that could be tossed about by picking up ones monitor and shaking it. The game doesnt completely crash but it certainly wont play any farther past that point.
My pc has directx up to date and the graphics for company of heroes are well below upper limit of my graphics card. Have not noticed any problem on other maps to this extent.

I went on and made my account and all seemed to be going well, but ANYTHING I try to play on the game makes me crash to the desktop... Sorry to have posted this but I have already tried everything stated in this forum about crashing issue but my problem continues to recur.
I have installed EF 1.3 recently. When I launch it its ok then brings me to what game I want to play (i.e. skirmish, campaign, etc) I usually select skirmish and play the rostov 8 player game where I play and the rest are computers. When I click start, the game meter starts rapidly then suddenly slows down until it reach approximately 60% of the bar. When it reaches 60%, it either hangs up by hearing the music repeating itself in a cycle or I get kicked out and usually brings me to the main menu. My EF 1.3 is updated and I have already downloaded the latest 2 patches and is still not working.
My current config for my WS are as follows
AMD Athlon 7850 Dual Core Processor
2.80 GHz
4 GB ram
Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP3
Any help is greatly appreciated.

i was plaiyng with cohef at sheldt when the game crashed. I was in the middle of the play when it crashed. This is the crash report: CoHBBGT1UD3.dpm. this isn't the first time that it crashes. I use windows xp and I set graphic all at minimal. i don't know to do anything anymore. HELP ME PLEAZE!!! ??? :'(You forgot to attach the necessary files(warnings.log, dmp file) in order to help you. Also, you didn't mention if was a normal crash or a "TEMP folder full" error.

If you have problems trying to find those files, there says how to locate them.
Usually this kind of crashes happens because the users have 32 bits OS... but other ones are because CoH engine becomes a bit unstable due to all the stuff it has to load. Sometimes helps to use a 64 bits OS.

No error messages at all. All of of sudden the game freezes and the sound of the game just keeps repeating over and over. The only thing I can do is manually turn the computer off using the on/off switch on the actual computer.

He needs to monitor, how much RAM his other programmes use. It has to be below 1Gb if I remember correctly. And there's also a RAM usage bar in the game settings he should set at values not exceeding about 1/3 of it's size.

If you used a celeron in that pc, fair enough; however, if you used a different processor than a celeron with the same speed (2.4 GHz)... that's another story and will affect CoH performance.

Ok I've just done a little experiment. Here is what I did before I started the game:
Downloaded 'Advanced SystemCare' which gave me a RAM usage bar near the clock on my screen. When I haven't got any games or internet running it is at about 80% (1600mb roughly).
I entered the game and reduced my settings until the settings bar was green and about halfway along (that's well within acceptable settings I think?).
Lastly I made a 2vs2 computer match.
On entering the game my RAM dropped to about 25% free RAM.
After about 20 minutes the game froze. However I looked at the RAM usage while the game was frozen and it was at about 30-40% (I would have thought it would need to be under 10% in order for the game to crash?).
Any ideas?

Also I just tried Opposing Fronts - my RAM did exactly the same thing when I started a match with that, went down to about 20-25% free. Though I didn't play that game out to see if it crashed, it has very rarely crashed in the past.

As you have an unreliable processor, i don't think you can play this game properly with your current PC.
The problem that celerons have is that they have less cache memory and their bus transfer speed is lower than other models, creating a severe bottleneck between ram/hdd/processor... and that happens because isn't a processor designed for gaming but for casual use.
Remember that EF uses more resources than ToV, hence the crash. Also, skirmish matches seems to cause more crashes than PvP.

That's a good suggestion, i remind someone said EF launcher was giving him problems of "stability" on his pc. He said his problems gone once he stopped to use the launcher

Hey, I´ve got a problem with my EF copy, too. I hope it is a simply error. Everytime I play EF with any factions on any map my game crashes after I mark my first unit (Pioneers, Grenadiers, etc).Eastern Front isn't compatible with CoH Beta.
Edit: I use COH 2.602 Retail Beta

as long as I use Soviet it crashes :-\
