It was already stated in my pervious posts and I will say it again if nobody has the insight to understand my words, I am NOT going to release or publish any of my work on the internet yet. I only wanted to do this for the single player purpose. So No, I'm not breaking any freaking rules! Nevertheless, I am still permitted to publish my own created maps that i am working on with the world builder, because these have nothing to do with the EF mod anyway and so they don't belong to the EF rules. If anyone is interested I make very realistic large sized battlefield maps for long range tank battles and urban maps for very narrow street fighting but with realistic guns and weapons (yes, infantry is now very vulnerable and can die after hit by 1 bullet, cool eh?). Corxis Mod Studio edits the files of the mod you choose, that's why you "open a mod", if you want to create a new mod you choose "Create new Mod". I think you're confused about this subject:
Alright, I was a little confused with this because I'm new to the Editor Mod. Thanks for clreaing it up. Axis & Western Allies can now be edited too in the EF Mod sweet Thanks again for the support

At first I just used the simple RGDEditor to open and edit the RGD files, worked fine to me. But thanks for the link which you have showed me, right now I'm rather working with the Corsix's Mod, much less complicated And yea, there are all of the COH vehicles available, great. But still, I can not find the ARMOR values of the tanks! I can only change tank_gun and Hit_Points (HP) values, but not the armor protection meh, nvm. Post Merge: October 31, 2010, 11:05:34 PM
Wait, isn't the Corsix's Mod actually supposed to create your own Mod? But that's not what I want. I Don't wanna create my own Mod that's wrong, I still want to use the Eastern Front mod, just with some files being changed :S All the work in this studio programme for nothing, I can not use the files for the EF Mod, instead I can only use them for my NEW Mod God damnit

Did I misread something ? What is he trying to say ?
LoL, no it's all right. You got the point correct because that is what I have been asking for in the first place, I just mentioned additionally that I am also making my own maps for some variety because the old standard maps are getting boring to me. But now I discovered another problem, I know only the directory for the Eastern Front Mod. But I can't find the RGD files of the regular Company of heroes vehicles. Right now I can only change the values of vehicles from the EF Mod but not from the original COH. Help pls?

No I don't want to release it on the internet and claim it is My own Mod or something like that. I mentioned it in my first post already, it's only for single player purpose. And what do you mean, they wouldn't support 'modding their creation'? just changing some values isn't really 'modding'. lol Post Merge: October 28, 2010, 07:43:45 PM
Ok I have found the correct directory for armor & gun balance of all vehicles in EF It is C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\Eastern_Front\DataAttrib\attrib\weapon\allies_soviets\ballistic_weapon\tank_gun There I can change the penetrating power, damage power, gun range, sight of tanks, projectile behavior, detonation radius, accuracy, aarmor protection, Health Point (HP) of all vehicles etc etc EVERYTHING I wanted! When I have finished completing some of my maps, maybe I can ask the owners of the EF mod if they allow me to release some of my work on the internet anyway? I think everyone would be happy about it

Hello dear EF team, this question goes straight to the Modders. I am currently working on my own maps (inspired by Forgotten Hope & Red Orchestra) and I wanted to change some gameplay values to make it a LITTLE bit more realistic. SO I wanted to ask if you can tell me where can I find the list with all the vehicle's armor & gun damage values? I would like to change some of the values but only for single player purpose of course! And no worries, I will NOT release it somewhere on the internet to claim it's my own Mod lol. Some things I would like to fix: -All anti tank guns and tank guns shall have realistic penetration and damage power and can one-shot kill most tanks when they penetrate the armor. When they do not penetrate the armor, they will also do no damage (just like in real). Only a few guns with very large caliber like 122mm & 155mm will make damage, even when they don't penetrate armor.
-Projectile behavior shall be more realistic, so that the shells travel faster with more speed.
-Gun range shall be increased to be more realistic, so that a Tiger II has about ~8-10 times MORE gun range than a Sherman or T34.
-Sightening range of all tanks shall be increased as well, so that a tank with good sights and optics has larger sight radius than a tank with bad sights/optics.-Armor protection shall be realistic too, according to its historical counterpart (for example, most tank guns can not penetrate the front armor of Tiger II and can also do no damage from the front).I would also like to make reloading time more realistic if it's possible. Can I do this? Would be nice to hear from you guise back ciau. EDIT: I think I have found the correct direction it's "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\Eastern_Front\DataAttrib\attrib\weapon\allies_soviets\ballistic_weapon\tank_gun" There are the RGD-files with all the unit data that I need, at least I hope so... brb will test it now

well, I play mostly 2v2 with a friend so each of us can concentrate on our special subject. for example i make only snipers while he keeps producing only volksgrenadiers and all that kind of other infantry. So we can combine a handful snipers + some infantry and that works very well together. finally when i have 10 snips, the russians will lose all direct infantry fights and will be forced to retreat (as long as there are still some russian survivers which is very seldom lol). afterwards my team mate can capture all enemy territories the russians have left. Of course, the Russian player also could make many snipers as well, even more than i have, however, most times i win the snip vs snip fights (i'm highly skilled in this haha) i know it's kinda a noob tactic to spam with snipers, but with all due respect, the russians have mortars the strenght of a artilelry strike! so i think it's just fair

Vetted or not vetted? Question goes to the others too. Any comparisons with panthers?
not vettet. Which comparison with Panthers do you mean? i'm not sure what you meant but here is a list of quite a few tests (met head on head - frontal armor): T34-76 vs Panther = Panther wins 70% health T34-85 (upgraded) vs Panther = Panther wins 40% health IS-2 vs Panther = IS-2 wins 60% health IS2 should kill a tiger head on.
read again, it did. Historically, the thick armor and 120mm gun would have been more than a match for a tiger.
historically, it was a 122mm gun but of course, in terms of firepower and armor protection, the IS-2 was far superior to the Tiger I. Only the Tiger II was again superior to the IS-2 including any other russian tank built in WW2.

The Soviets didn't fight against 3 Super powers supported by 50 other countries...
USSR could win because they were supported by USA and the other nations, 3. Reich couldnt use their full power against USSR. Stalin hadnt even enough boots for his soldiers.
At the beginning of the war the USA supplied the Russians with THOUSANDS of tanks, trucks, jeeps, planes, trains, boots, weapons and food!... It were the american half-trucks that mobilized soviet forces. without them russian soldiers would have walked by foot. Russians used horses to drag artilleries because they had no own trucks... Who designed the T34's suspension system? The American Walter Christie.
The forces of The UK took out the Cream of the Luftwaffe during 1940, defeated the Afrika Corps while the US was "getting ready" and in the Western European Theatre made sure of Victory so the US could take the Glory! the R.A.F. was pivotal in the defeat of Nazi Germany... And again, America was England's life line against Nazi Germany and sent tons and tons and tons of, "guns and butter', to England, with thousands of American Merchant Marine sailors....
When you command unlimited suplies of men and material , and outnumber ur enemy 4,5,10 :1 ..its extremelly hard to lose , specially in that stage of the war. the Germans fought with what they had , they faced HUGE logistical and suply problems .... the Soviets had plenty of suplies , plenty of tanks , plenty of everything . German reinforcements were depleted and exhausted , outnumbered and without suplies . They were short on EVERYTHING all throughout the war
The Allies defeating Germany was only a matter of time . If you look at the force/suplly situation you can clearlly see that it was a miracle that the germans got that far as they did .
btw Russia was very well prepeared for WW2. Their armies were larger and their tanks were better (only at the beginning).
Germans wre totally outnumbered + they hadnt enough support, the enemies ALWAYS had supplies by their allies etc etc. USSR couldn't fight the nazis alone thats why the germans are fighting a two fronts the russians in the east usa in the west, if only the germans fighting a east front the nazis would have won.

Did you make this test with tanks positioned head on ? meaning, 4 T34`s would all shoot KT`s frontal armor, right? in gameplay, 3 out of 4 T34`s would micro to the flanks and rear ...
nope, the AIs became clever now. AIs always tried to flank all my tanks. even the IS-2 flanked my Panzter 4s out which made me lulz. that was quite annoying... i dont know if this influences the test in a good or bad way. but i think its more fair. in any fight the T34s flanked my Tiger / Panther / King Tiger out and could shot the rear/side armor. i could keep the frontal armor to only one of the enemy tanks. but the other ones were still abale to shoot on the sides/rear. after your post i've made new tests like you said and the result was very different. during this test the T34s shot only the frontal armor - result of this test: KT won against 5 T34s (not upgraded) with 20-30 & health left... o.O This proves how important it is to flank Tigers in COH!

ISU-152, IS2 should be like Jag Panther & KT
the ISU-152 is exact like the Jagdpanther (same fire power and armor) and the IS-2 is very similar to the King Tiger as well. However KT has still better armor and better firepower. In the COH World builder i let each tanks fight against to test which is better in 1 vs 1. And here's the result: IS-2 vs Tiger = IS-2 wins 30-40% health. IS-2 vs KT = KT wins with 50-60% health IS-2 vs 2 Panthers = 2 or 1 Panther survives, another Panther can be killed though). ISU-152 vs Jagdpanther = Jagdpanther wins only 10 & health and more tests with heavy tanks: IS-2 vs 3 Panzer IV G = IS-2 loses, 1 Panzer IV killed, 2 survives KT vs 3 T34-85 = KT wins 10-20% health KT vs 4 T34/76 = KT wins 5-10% health (at the end with main gun destroyed in the test) KT vs 5 T34/76 = KT loses, 2 T34s killed. Tiger vs 3 T34/76 = 2 of 3 T34s win 1 killed. Tiger vs 2 T34&76 = Tiger wins 30 % health. Tiger vs 2 T34-85 = Tiger wins 10-20 % health Tiger vs 3 T34/85 = Tiger loses, 1 T34 killed. I'll upload the videos later on youtube if needed.

No one is disputing the face that the T-34 suffered at the hand of the Tigers, but your distances are slightly off...
*sigh* what are you trying to disprove? my penetartion figures were very exact. look it up, in 1943 the F-34 tank gun (used in the T34/76) could only penetrate 62mm armor at 500m distance which is clearly not enough to penetrate any of the Tiger's armor! Tiger had 80-100mm armor on all sides. Only at 100-200m distance the F-34 could penetrate 89mm armor only with Armour-piercing (AP) munition. so yeah, once again you just failed at being a wannabe smart@$s. The Panther influenced more tanks in the world than the T34 did. you don't believe me? just an example, the first tank with a night vision device (called vampyre) was the panther Ausf. G in 1945... and guess what.... all modern tanks today have a night vision device, even the Russians. Does that mean that all MBTs that were designed after WW2 were influenced by the Panther only because it was the first tank with this device? because that's exactly what you say. Or another example the Panzer IV was the first tank in the world with "spaced armor" (better known as Panzerschürze) which was later adopted by the Russians called "cage armor". So does that also mean all russian tranks in 1945 were influenced by the german Panzer IV only because they now used tank skirts like the Panzer IV did first?

How many T34s were sacrificed? I know about 2-3 Shermans were sacrificed per Tiger...
lmao hmm let's see...the T34 had to come close as 300-100 meters just to be able to penetrate the side/read armor of the Tiger, while the 88mm gun could kill the T34 at 2 miles away! so yeah, more than thousand T34s were sacrificed of course. look up the 503rd Heavy tank battalion claimed 1,700 tank kills on the eastern front for only 252 own Tigers destroyed. and the 502nd Heavy Tank battalion reported a total of 1,400 tank kills for only 107 own losses. and the list goes on... Actually Panthers WERE influenced by the wide tracked, slopped armor design of the T34/76 which where brought on the field in 1940.
Again, (I must have stated this at least 10 times now) Only the Panther's hull design is based on the T34, but armor isn't everything on a tank. the t34 wasnt engineered at all and had no mechanics in it while the panther was extremely well and complex engineered with a mechanized turret. tankers in the T34s had to use handwheels to control the turret and main gun. While Panther crews only needed to use some controllers and the mechanics did all the work. The Panther was like a modern high-tech tank compared to russian tanks at that time. also the Russians copied the german cupola and mounted it on their own tanks. After 1944 all T34s were upgraded with a big cupola on the top of the turret for the commander. The T34/85 was brought out somewhere between late 1942 and early 1945.
not 42, it saw first action in 1944 during the final battles.... a very short combat time before the war ended. Even the IS-2 was first employed (1943)

If your so superior, why do you loose every battle with the Soviets and whine about OP? And HISTORICALLY, GERMANS LOST and T-34 had the last lough.
a) nope, i'm not the one here whining about anything and i did not open this thread. I can play very well against the Soviets though b) Everyone around here knows, that Germany lost. but the Soviets didnt fight against 3 superpowers supported by 52 other nations. c) do you know how many T34s had to be sacrificed for a handful Tigers?... whatsoever let's keep history away from here. after i've plyaed with the new patch i think the game is somewhat good balanced. Thanks EF Team!

Ok first the panther was influenced from the T34 (historical fact)
fine! and the T34 was influenced by all other tanks that had angled armor before. oh and by Walter Christie thanks to his suspension system. But you are speaking about "realistic facts", CoH is not that, or this game would not be possible, tanks would shot each other from the 2 extremities of the map.
no you misunderstood. I never said realistic in any of my posts and i never talked about realism at all. you didn't get my point. I said it's just ridiculous that a Tiger has to flank enemy tanks, because the 88mm could deal with any frontal armor during WW2... just saying. And if you say "realist",
again, i didn't say the word "realistic" in my previous posts. do you need glasses?... And the Il 2 Sturmkoviks should always be here owning german tanks.
ever heard of Erich Hartmann? he is the highest scoring fyling ace in the world with 352 conifrmed kills (planes). And he was not the only german ace in WW2, in total there were over 100 aces who shot down more than 100 enemy planes only on the Eastern Front. you know math, just 100 * 100 and you have the sum. even the second best flying ace (Gerhard Barkhorn) is credited with 301 confirmed kills! and the list goes on.... so don't tell me anything about russian air force they were cannon fodder.
