@Sablicious Do you think you can upload your dmp file too? That would be helpful.
Planned to but couldn't find it (in the Temps folder, I know, but wasn't there). What does this file typically look like? What's it normally called? Aside from that, I tried the game on a different map with different teams and the game crashed again upon building a engineer. I think there might be more wrong than just the first example I cited. I have different mods installed, but they run off their own executables. Could this still be a problem; do I need a fresh install for this mod to work? (*All other mods seem like they coexist).

Got the 1.501 mod and it automatically downloaded the patch upon the first start-up attempt.
I started a game on the Kiev(6) map, Soviets (me, position 6) versus Wehrmarcht (cpu, position 1), Normal difficulty, fixed positions, high resources, Annihilate (w/pop cap).
Purchased two engineers and began with capturing the closest ammo point. But upon sending the second engineer unit to capture the closest strategic point, the game crashed to the Relic error reporter.
Any clues...?

Not true. Mine's a copy of the original disk but with a no DVD crack installed and works fine. I had this problem with the earlier version of EF. Maybe he needs the full new version - it fixed the problem for me.

Gotcha on the outposts thing. But by Ingenery upgrade, are you referring to the satchel charges upgrade the builders can be equipped with? If so, I know about these - they're okay for small overpass-type bridges. But is there anything you can PLANT like what the Axis have? Something you can detonate...?

Okay! Got it working. Thanks  Seems pretty good so far. Couple of issues though: -It won't let me build a bunker with Soviet engineers saying it has to be in a secure location, not matter how close I build it to the base. -Is there anyway to equip/activate/allow engineers (or any unit) of any faction with explosive charges in this mod? It helps a heap at choke points and stops cheesy early-game rushes. If not, are there any tutorials on how to add this ability? (*The Europe At War mod has this with the Wehrmacht faction).

Okay. I'll download the lot again... if I must.  Will let you know. Though, I don't see why that supposed 'launcher update' I downloaded doesn't simply update the old version...? Is the latest version so different?

 That's^ all I get. If I try click the actual logo a pop-up box that takes me to the home page appears. Isn't there supposed to be a 'Start' or 'Play' tab...? Before I added the update the game worked, but the Soviets were locked out. Hence why I downloaded the update - in the hope it would fix the Soviet issue. Please don't tell me I have to re-download the entire 630-odd Megs of it?!  Isn't there an update? I thought that's what the 'launcher update' (87.8Mb) was...?

-Installed CoH: ToV fresh
-Installed all patches up to and including 2.601
-Installed EF mod
-Installed 1.2.0.0 launcher(?) update
All I get when I click the shortcut created is the window mentioned in the thread title. If I try click the EF logo I get a pop-up window that asks me if I want go to the EF website.
A li'l help? : /
NB: I have other mods/maps installed, though they don't seem to cause any issues with anything else.

I've got the exact same issue. I've seen the 'patch' suggestion/solution, but mine is patched to 2.601 - I re-downloaded the patch and tried installing but got a 'patch already installed' error code. I also tried reinstalling the mod and playing the game before and with each update, but nada.
Anyone got a real fix for this? Do I need to reinstall the game proper, patch it and reinstall Eastern Front too?
I'd like to confirm if reinstallation is necessary because the game takes like 30mins to install! : / ...and that's not including downloading and installing all the updates! (*Presuming you have to re-download/install them that is.)
