Ostheer Suggestions / Re: OstHeer German Faction By Enemigo
« on: February 10, 2010, 05:13:50 PM »
The Ostheer is the Wehrmacht + SS (Panzer Elite) so dont expect something totally new... we must use some old units like StuGs, Panzer IV, Panthers, Tigers, King Tigers etc... all those tanks were the main tanks of the Wehrmacht and SS

Doctrines based on the armies that fought in the eastern front, Group Army North, Center and South.

Group Army North - Artilliery (Mass use of artillery in the siege of Leningrad)

Group Army Center - Tanks (Mass use of tanks in the Battle of Kursk)

Group Army South - Urban Assault (Battle of Stalingrad)

For the buildings, an example:

Barracks - Ostheer Granadiers (5 man squad with 5 K-98 no upgrades, dont have special abilit only normal like granades) (all 3 doctrines can make it) and +3 gray units for example...

Army North - Artillery Support Granadiers (5 man squad with 5 K-98 - Upgrades 2 Mg-42 or 2 Panzershrek - Special Abilit Call Light Artillery)

Army Center - Panzer Granadiers (5 man squad with 5 K-98 - Upgrades 5 G-43 or 2 Panzershrek - Special Abilit Repair)

Army South - Assault Granadiers (5 man squad with 5 K-98 - Upgrades 5 Stg-44 or 2 Panzershrek - Special Abilit Sprint)

Same thing for the others biuldings, base units + doctrine unit but I dont have time to post all my ideas, I just make that topic so you guys can use this idea and improve it.

More detailed:

Barracks:

Ostheer Granadiers (5 man squad – 5 K-98 – upgrades: 5 MP-40 – no special ability – basic ability: throw grenades) (basic unit like the 1941 granadiers that fought in Russia) (available for all 3 doctrines)

MG-34 (3 man squad – 1 MG-34 2 K-98 – upgrades 1 MG-42 – no special ability – no basic abilities) (basic MG team – 1941-1942)

Sniper (1 man – 1 K-98 + scope – upgrades 1 G-43 + scope (more faster shoots) – no special ability – basic ability: Camouflage) (basic sniper - 1941-1943)

Now the doctrines soldiers

Army North – Artillery Support Granadiers (5 man squad – 5 K-98 – upgrades 2 MG-42 or 2 Panzershrek – special ability: Call Light Artillery (few off-map shoots of artillery) – basic ability: throw grenades)

Army Center – Panzer Granadiers (5 man squad – 5 K-98 – upgrades 5 G-43 or 2 Panzershrek – special ability: light repair (like the PE ones) – basic ability: anti-tank grenades)

Army South – Assault Granadiers (5 man squad – 5 MP-40 – upgrades 5 StG-44 – special ability: Sprint – basic ability: Panzerfaust)

Tank Center (don’t remember the name =X) (I suggest 1 special tank and 1 call-off map doctrine tank)

Basic Tanks (all 3 doctrines)

StuG-III

Panzer-IV

Panther

Doctrine tanks:

Army North: Marder II
Call-off map unit: Panzerwerfer 42

Army Center: Tiger I
Call-off map unit: Jagdtiger

Army South: StuG IV
Call-off map unit: Sturmtiger

More detailed now but still need a lot of ideas and more details…
