while browsing at older forum threads i've found out that it's a coding issue that can't be resolved unless Relic unlocks these abilities for the new army.
(i know i should prolly read first then post)

So in that case my wish remains the same
"really hope someone is looking into it"
but this time it concerns someone from Relic
to find the solution
and someone from the modding team to bust his balls untill he does


alternatively i wouldn't mind replacing the Brits with the Ruskys in order to have the full abilities of a normal army faction

Indeed thank you so much for this Mod
and i really hope you keep up the good work
(patches, fixes, maps, ostheer, etc)
until the mod is even better than the original game
so that Relic would wanna buy it from you for official release
and that you can then quit your real jobs and get workin'
on Coh Afrika Korps mod

I think it would be best if all Rus. inf units were able to use at least handheld weapons.
it makes perfect sense imho

and as for mortars, AT guns and MG dugouts
i can't see a reason for them not to be able to be remanned.
if not by conscritps, at least from some more experienced units.

really hope someone is looking into it
as imho, it wipes out a sh1tload of realism
to see a battlefield full of deserted weapons
and masses of infantry not being able to use them
