I have to put it as the Arisaka.

The rifle might have been outdated but it still worked, but... the Japanese had a major problem with their Logistics, as many of their weapons used different kind of ammunition.
Though the rifle was cheap and by that vurnerable to all kinds of problems.

Well, you can't say what's the ''Best'' Machinegun. Every machinegun were good on their own roles, with their own tactics.

MG34 and MG42 were both very good multi-purpose machineguns, but you can't forget stuff like Bren, which was light, accurate, didn't overheat so it didn't need changeable barrel like the MG42 (and sometimes MG34) needed and also it is more faster to reload a 30 cartridge mag into the weapon.

I think that if someone would seriously dismember someone with a Chainsaw or commit another serious crime like that, belongs to a ''Nuthouse''. No clear minded human would do something like that, unless something has ''snapped'' in that persons mind.

I find it a good idea to possibly have some ''extra wiremesh armor''. Red Army used ones in Berlin as a cover against Anti-tank weapons like the Panzerfaust
