Help! strange AI log file
« on: October 30, 2013, 01:56:34 AM »
Hello everybody :)

After along break from COH I was curious to try out the new ostheer faction and all new goodies :)

I understod that you need the new steam version of coh (wich I have) so I installed the mod and played afew
matches vs the comp. Everything was ok :)

However later I saw a very strange file/s located "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\here"
named AI_LogFile_10xx

First I though it was steam related but after some testing it is indeed from EF.
These file/s will be created when I start a match vs a computer so if I play 5 matches vs the computer I get 5 ai log files.
They wont be created if I play vCOH.

The stranges thing is that they are empty. I have never seen this behavior from any other mod i tried for COH

I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to turn that thing of if its a script or something like that within the mod

Those are where AI bugs and stuff will be logged in the future. Right now they are blank because the AI debugging thing was causing lag for players, so its been disabled until we can make it so it does not cause noticeable lag

Ok thx, but is possible to disable them 100%?

Cus It gets abit annoying to remove them everytime I shut down COH
(if they had been created in the logfiles folder in my documents\company of heroes\
I wouldn't mind them at all :)

These files are not supposed to be created if the AI debugger is off, so it will be addressed in the next patch.

Thx :)
I changed it myseld so EF won't create ant logs anymore.

However I have one more question (I don't want to make a new uncessarcy topic)

As far as I know the Ostheer and and SU doesn't have any reward unit anymore (thats ok)
But the vanilla factons do.

Well I didn't bother / I forgot that they did.
So I checked that the green hand was ticket when I chosed the black "tiger ace" for wher.
But when I started the matches it was not in the terror doc or any doc whatsoever (I remember it from EF 1.700(?)

I tested PE and its Jagdtiger, same thing. Its as they don't exist.

But it is only  units from EF (call in units and replacer of old units in the command tree)
units like the Wher new luffwaffe officer works :/

Is this intended or is something wrong with my EF?

//Lisa

ps: I have only modified ONE ai file and that shouldn't affect the command tree for me (the player) right?

I didn't have any problem getting the Jagdtiger in a couple of test matches. Remember to enable the reward unit each time you arrive to the lobby, because IIRC it is disabled each time you finish a match. And I don't know what file you modified so I can't say if it has something to do or not.

Haha I found the problem with missing reward units :)
I forgot to add -dev in the target line to the shortcut (must have something to do with custom reward units in skill tree?)

Yes, if you don't use it they are not loaded.
