Proposal on OSTHER faction by Napoluskr Beast (coh-rus community)

I)   Brief description of certain moments

Units of the faction receive levels for kills (for easy tracing I used *, ** and *** to indicate 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels)

Tier buildings of Osther are constructed automatically with no special construction units involved.

After selection of the upgrade path every infantry unit automatically retreats to the HQ where upgrading process starts (takes 5 secs.)
II)   Description of Tier Units

Tier 0

-   “LIEUTENANT”. Maximum 3 LT’s are possible at one time. Armed with MP44
Major function – capture and hold points. Once the LT crosses border of a neutral or enemy territory capping process starts immediately unless the point is being captured by the enemy or has an Observation Post. However, the LT is unable to “lock” the point and once he crosses the border leaving the territory it immediately starts reverting to the neutral state. To lock the territory you need to bring in a T1 unit and “finish” capping (same as installation of “booby traps”)
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: defense / blitzkrieg / terror
* - is granted with an aura of “For the fatherland!” / “Blietzkrieg Assault” / “Inspired assault”
(the effect produced by the auras is not stacked, the closest LT’s aura shall prevail)
** - is granted with an ability of “Observed Fire” / “Observed Fire” / “Fire Storm”
*** - is granted with an ability to summon a long range self-propelled AT gun / Tiger / long range self-propelled artillery

- “CLOSE-IN SECURITY SQUAD”; cannot capture points, maximum number is equal to the number of LT’s in the field; starting squad size – 2 persons; armed with rifle and LMG42.
Major function – support of LT’s in holding points
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: anti-personnel / counter-sniping / reconnaissance
* - +1 soldier with G43 / +1 soldier, all 3 armed with G43, get increased resistance to sniper fire and increased camouflaged units spotting radius (lose LMG42) / +1 soldier with mine sweeper, 2 others are armed with G43 + increased sight radius (lose LMG42)
** + 1 soldier with G43 / + can camouflage / + 1 soldier with AT rifle
*** + defense / + increased speed when camouflaged / + defense

Tier 1

- “OST-GRENADIERS”; starting squad size - 4 persons; armed with rifles, 1 possible grade to 2 G43
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: anti-personnel / medic / repairs
* 1 soldier gets armed with МР44 / + 1 medic (the squad collects injured just like a medic bunker) / can repair
** +1 soldier with МР44 (the squad now has 5 persons) / gets a healing aura (as well as self-healing) / complex repairs
*** + increased accuracy / + 1 medic / can construct repair bunkers

- “OST-SCOUTS”; starting squad size – 3 persons; armed with MP40; available grade to AP and AT grenades
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: MG42 / mortar / Pak 38
* crews an MG42 / mortar / Pak 38
** + 1 soldier with G43 / + 1 soldier with G43 / + 1 soldier with G43
*** + defense / + defense / + defense

Tier 2

- OST-GUARDS; elite infantry; starting squad size – 3 persons; armed with rifles, mutually exclusive upgrade to MP44 (2 persons)/Panzerschrek
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: anti-personnel / anti-tank / diversions
* +1 soldier with G43 / + 1 soldier with AT rifle / can camouflage
** 1 gets armed with MP44 / 1 soldier gets armed with Panzerschreck / + 1 soldier and additional free mutually exclusive upgrade to MP44 (2 persons)/Panzerschrek
*** + defense / + accuracy / + increased speed when camouflaged

- “OST-MECHANICS”; starting squad size - 4 persons; armed with rifles
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: Tank / Anti-personnel Tank / Stationary AT Gun
* Crews a medium tank / crews a light AP tank / can construct either flak .37 or flak .88 and after construction fully crews it. Same to British emplacements the crew cannot be killed unless the flak is destroyed.
** + MG42 on the roof / + skirts / + 1 soldier with GГ43
*** + movement speed / + movement speed / + can camouflage

Tier 3

- “OST-ROCKETEERS”; starting squad size - 3 persons; armed with rifles and 1 Panzerschreck
1 veterancy level enables the following “upgrade paths”: Nebelwerfer rocket mortar / Stuka rocket mortar / Fortification destroyers
* crews a Nebelwerfer / Stuka / + 1 soldier with flamethrower
** +1 soldier with G43 / + movement speed / + can place explosive charges
*** + accuracy / + accuracy / + defense

- “FORWARD CONTROL OFFICER”; only one is allowed at a time; armed with Luger; by default has an aura of increased accuracy; receives levels for kills by neighboring units
* can from a long distance mark an enemy infantry unit that receives more intensive fire (+ accuracy)
** can from a long distance mark an enemy armor unit that receives more intensive fire (+ accuracy)
*** receives Fire Storm ability

III)   Doctrines

“BOOST FIGHTING SPIRIT” Doctrine
>>>>> Left hand:
- Weapons practice (infantry levels up faster);
- Nourishing diet (+ 15 to infantry health)
- Propaganda of supremacy of the Arian race (+ resistance to suppression; + defense)
>>>>> Right hand:
- Medical help (ost-grenadiers (T1) can construct medical bunkers)
- Legendary sniper (summon a sniper that is equal in characteristics to USA 3-level sniper; cannot level-up; only one is possible at a time)
- Legendary tank crew (only one is possible at a time; select any armor unit it instantly becomes lvl 3)

“MAINTENANCE” Doctrine
>>>>> Left hand:
- Help by the works constructor (light and heavy vehicles are produced 25% faster)
- Mechanics training (repair bunkers get 1 additional mechanic)
- Protect the mechanics! (repair bunkers can be upgraded with a MG42 squad; cannot leave the bunker)
>>>>> Right hand:
- Crew training (light and heavy vehicles can “regenerate” damaged and destroyed engine or chassis with time)
- Take care of your vehicles! (+ armor maneuverability)
- Prototype (summon a self propelled gun, 1 at a time; high damage and average fire rate)

“EXPERIMENTAL WEAPONS (EW)” doctrine
>>>>> Left hand:
- Ensure security (ost-greandiers (T1), ost-scouts (T1) and Fortification destroyers (T3) can lay mines and install barbed wire)
- Ensure secrecy (+ to all your infantry sight radius, - to enemy units in the territory where EW’s are at the moment)
- Ensure safety (EW can camouflage when not moving or firing)
>>>>> Right hand:
- Summon an experimental anti-personnel tank (maximum - 2 pcs. at a time)
- Summon an experimental heavy tank (maximum - 1 pc. at a time)
- Summon an experimental self propelled artillery (maximum - 2 pcs. at a time)

“OUR DOMAINS IN THE EAST” doctrine
>>>>> Left hand:
- Resources! (+ to capturing speed of your units; - to de-capping speed of enemy units)
- Lebenstraum (ost-greandiers (T1), ost-scouts (T1) and Fortification destroyers (T3) can build Observation Posts)
- New homeland (your units can “wire” points with “propaganda” ability, enemy unit to activate it will retreat)
>>>>> Right hand:
- Wide is my country land ! (capped points provide more popcap)
- SS truppers (4 soldiers, armed with rifles and 2 flamethrowers, “(minor) propaganda” ability, can set fire to civil buildings)
- Flakpanzer division (summon 2 flakpanzers to protect railway trains)

The doctines sucked to be honest. Very weak and shows your lack of ideas, for example: Self propelled artillery can be summoned by 2 of the doctrines. Overall good with the units. You should have based them more on facts though. Atleast some of the units should be historically correct.
