The perfect music to fight a war with.

While historically accurate the march music doesn't fits the CoH atmosphere very well, it's too "cheery", needs something more orchestral to match the other factions themes. For the Ostheeer I was thinking something more along the lines of the Panzer Elite's music which could fit perfectly

or something like these

Wolfenstein OST - Airfield Boss [nofollow]

RO -04- Baedeker Blitz [nofollow]

Menu Music?

Der Untergang (La Caída) Soundtrack - Der Krieg Ist Aus 14 [nofollow]
are you kidding? that would mean there would be THREE factions that have the exact same music...

I don't know, sounds almost too dark. My vote is still for Ride of the Valkyeies and the Jaakir Maarsi.

You can never be too dark. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

I like the darkness factor for the Ostheer, because being "sent to the Eastern Front" became the same as a death sentance for German soldiers.

Well, there should be balance. Marches like Erika are too bright and cheerful, while the pieces you provided are very dark. Meanwhile, things like Ride of the Valkyrie are perfect, especially for the Blitzkrieg stages of the Eastern Front. Every time I hear Ride of the Valkyries I can't help but imagine skies filled with Luftwaffe aircraft ready to bomb major cities in the Soviet Union.

You've got a point there, Kamerad... however, it should also be noted that the men of the OH intentionally sang lighter soldatenlieders like "Erika" and "Viktoria Sieg Heil" in order to relieve themselves from the pressures of the Eastern Front, which was a gloomy, depressing hellhole (particularly in winter). The lighter songs boosted their morale reminded them of a Germany that can never be beaten.  :)

This is a tough one. There are so many great marches and songs that it is gonna be hard to choose. Remember though, not every song was "Nazified" they may have carried over into the Third Reich, but most were composed during World War One or the 19th Century.
