hello again everybody
my ideas for this time are for the IL2 strike. (again)
however i have a viable idea which i think would work well.
replace the il2 strike on the command tree with a one at a time call in, the c3 t34.
the c3 was a system implemtented by kursk for the coordination of air power with ground forces. spotters were put in standard t34s with long range radios and used to convey information to il2 squadrons.
the c3 t34 would have two abilities: the il2m3 at strike and the il2m3 anti-personnel strike. 600 MP
the il2m3 at strike would comprise of 2 aircraft, each attacking the target area with:
6 shots from a 37mm gun (use the american at gun)
8 underwing rockets (spawn a katyusha under the il2 at maximum range, fire the opening hlaf of its salvo at 4x rate of fire and then destroy it)
and 8 PTAB 1.5 grenades (use the butterfly bomb strike animation without parachutes and increase the speed of the drop, then use anti tank grenade explosions in the area)
120 second cooldown, 350 MUNI
the IL2m3 anti personnel strike would consist of 2 aircraft attacking with:
10 shots from a 23mm gun (use the wermacht wirbelwing gun)
8 underwing rockets (see above)
2 FAB-100 bombs (p-47 bombing run)
120 seond cooldown, 300 MUNI
this idea would add a new way to use air support, give the soviets more direct support as was used historically, and give the soviets a powerful asset in the game, but balanced by high cost and long cooldown.

im not sure and i cant speak for them but i think they are trying to limit the amount of off map calling, its a viable idea but this is just what i have gathered.

in that case make it a one-off unit build from the soviet hq enabled by the ability instead.

cool down is too short! how about 2mins? does each plane shoot all that or is it spread out over the 4? lol

Would the T-34 still have its main gun? Or would it be more like the command tank for the Commonwealth?

its a normal t34 with a long range radio, so 76.2mm gun, but no chance of upgrade to 85

thats a lot of firepower. if the planes did that much u only need one or 2, not 4 i think. strafing run destroys infantry (although it does sometimes bug) i still think its a bit op...

actually on a similar note, do the british hurricanes in the tiger ace and panzer elite campaigns fire rockets?
even when there's no nebelwerfers around, while the aircraft attack i can still hear rocket salvos and the area where the planes fly over catches fire...
maybe the team would consider adding this to the il 2 strike at a l8r date? just that it seems that rockets on aircraft is codeable.
my point is that the russians flew most missions with underwing rockets, so itd be nice to see them ingame

Ok I've worked out some il2 stats, the accuracies and penetrations are all calculated at long range because I assume this is the range at which the shots which hit the target area are fired from
