FIXED: Ingenery Crash

Hi everyone,

I have the latest versions of CoH and CoH:OF on Steam, and installed the EF 1.40 Full mod from the site download page. Unfortunately whenever I build an Ingenery unit and click on it, the game crashes. This crash happens on any map (I have tried it on original CoH maps and EF ones). In all instances I was Soviets playing against Axis/Wermacht.

In addition the EF Launcher constantly asks me to upgrade to patch 1.4, even though this is the version I have (I think?) and even when the installation finishes it just asks me to do it all over again.

This crash often occurs when you don't have 2.602 patch for vCoH.

I definitely have v2.602

Edit: This happens when I select any unit while using the EF Mod I noticed, even when playing as the British.

This sounds like a job for Cope, but we can try something before that.

What Operative System your PC has?

Which other mods do you have?

Your logs seems clean to me . Are you sure you uploaded that stuff right after your crash? Remember that every time you start the game the warnings.log is overwritten and in the logfiles folder are created new logs. Hopefully Rizz could take an eye on those when returns.

You can uninstall EF and check if all it's files were deleted (Eastern_Front & EF_LauncherData folders, FactionFix.dll, LuaExtCore.dll and files that start with "EF_" ) , if not delete them yourself.

Then reinstall EF using the full installer for 1.40.

I'm 99% sure the files I uploaded were right after the crash, but I'll try a complete uninstall and reinstall again just to be safe, then if the same problem happens I'll put the new log etc. files back up 

I use Windows XP, and I have no other CoH mods! Thanks!

Edit: If it's any use, FactionFix.dll and LuaExtCore.dll didn't uninstall correctly. I've deleted them myself now so maybe things will be different after I install again.
Post Merge: August 20, 2011, 09:49:46 PMOk, problem resolved! The issue was I had downloaded and installed v1.3.1 of the mod 

I was linked there from the "Gamefront" link on your Downloads page, I think it needs to be updated? I only noticed as I forgot where I downloaded the installer file to so downloaded it again but from a different link. Then I noticed one was v1.4 and the other v1.3.1. Just played my first game at no hitches - cracking mod! Thanks!
