It wasn't a Brit tank, they just had a tendency to name American tanks they received over Lend-Lease

. Im under the impression there is a artillery tank called the Paladin
. Was there a General Paladin

I think self propelled artillery follows the practice of naming things after church related things, aka M7 preist
of course the brits started the practice of naming tanks after generals and self propelled arty after church stuff
